2025 Ski Doo predictions

The sled we are discussing was built and designed to be operated at altitude, much like a plane lol. It wasn't a flatland sled. Now the current offering DOES add boost at sea level, much like a  Polaris Boost. My son just spent 2 weeks in Revelstoke/Sycamous area of BC riding his Boost with his buddy on a new Doo 850 turbo. He said the Doo power felt far more linear whereas his Boost hits like a freight train. They felt very similar at WFO though.

Too much talk of zero boost at sea level.

Ben I can't find anywhere that states this definition :dunno:

Either post up a link or it's going to be obvious that you completely made this up just to suit your narrative.

Or just get mad and call me names, up to you

BTW Ben , quit running around throwing out the term "turbo normalization" like you invented it. It has been a common term in the aviation industry since the late 1960's :bc:

No shit you fucking moron , turbo normalized is an actual thing with a real definition and that’s what skidoo produced. Turbocharged is not turbo normalized. Thanks for owning yourself retard lol

Actual retard - MY SLED IS TURBO CHARGED

Non-retard - oh yah how much boost it making

Actual retard - Well never more than 14.7 psi absolute

non-retard - so it makes no boost?

actual fucking retard - WHO CARES ITS GOT A TURBO!!!!!

I mean the fucking retard posts a definition stating that turbocharging using a turbo to create MORE POWER THROUGH FORCED INDUCTION FOR A GIVEN DISPLACEMENT

Skidoos turbo system didn’t do that. It made the same exact power as the NA motor at sea level…….

Polaris system which was an actual turbocharged engine made about 12% more power at sea level for a given displacement.

Turbocharged has a specific definition and that means it makes a pressure above 1 atmosphere.

I'm still waiting for you to back up this specific definition with a link.

Otherwise you're looking like f7badger making stuff up as you go to impress members with your greatness.

Sounds almost like the Doo , just replace 9000ft with sea level

2019 marked the 96th running of this prestigious race where 100 vehicles were accepted and qualified to race. Some racers utilize naturally aspirated engines, and others have boosted engines. With the earlier information presented, can you imagine how a turbocharged vehicle provides an advantage over non—turbocharged?

Racers using boosted engines will match their turbo for the power they want to make at the start line (9,000 ft) and as they increase in elevation the ECU will adjust boost pressure and other parameters to maintain the same power as long as the turbocharger can support the additional air volume and shaft speed.
