Ukraine troops withdraw from front-line city of Avdiivka, army chief says

The thing is Putin can't sue for peace. If he kept his gains in some sort of a peace deal Ukraine would certainly end up in NATO dam near immediately.

Ukraine’s economy began to grow following the fall of the USSR. It peaked in 2008 and then dropped with the economic collapse. It peaked again in 2013-2014. This was followed by the invasion of Crimea and another plunge in its economy. It rebounded and showed some real signs of growth up until Russia invaded. Every time Ukraine shows signs of economic growth it also begins to compete with Russia economically. Ukraine had the potential to outstrip the Russian economy with western investment and trade.

He has never been right about anything, ever. It seems like everybody knows the truth about Ukraine except him.

Consistency is only a virtue if you strive toward getting shit right.  Still, it does make him sort of fun to follow.  And sad.

Lol, ton of new stuff.  All of it needs testing.  Thinking there is nothing new is super funny.  That being said, we aren't going to send that sort of stuff to Ukraine unless we are the ones using it.

Nothing new at all is needed there and even if it was, we have military doctrines that prevent us from handing over our new technology to defeated armies or enemies.  BUT...since this administration is a fucking joke and really, treasonous on every level.  You might be right.

Snake said that the US needs to sell their current arms to other nations in order to fund the development of new weapons.

Is he a higher ranking COD nerd than you?

We don’t have to give them anything new to gather intelligence, test strategies, etc.

Huh?  What the fuck?  This is a brainless post.  You people must actually think the Ukraine has some high quality army over there.  Rumor has it that 25% of their force was mixed in with the refugees when Putin first rolled across.  I'd guess it's greater than half now...and the others aren't answering their pagers.

It’s brainless to think we’re not collecting intelligence? That’s not very smart of you. “What the fuck?” 9_9

Now into the third year of the war. If Ukraine is bad, that doesn’t speak very highly of Russia’s military. Or maybe you can tell us more about Putin’s “clinic.”

You really think Russia was a big enough threat to the US to allow tens possibly hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian's to die fighting for something they didn't really have anymore and which will end up costing the US hundreds of billions of dollars?

That's really fucked up thinking.  Ukraine was ready to negotiate but the US, GB and NATO wanted their war.  Personally I feel really sorry for the Ukrainian people and using them in the manner we did.

Threat to the Europe? Yes, as does every western nation.

Threat to Europe...... :lmao:One thing we've learned from this conflict is that US and NATO intelligence has been lying to us about Russia for decades.   The idea that Russia would or could move on NATO is fucking absurd.

Russia became a manufactured threat because they went all in on the Russia collusion bullshit to falsely remove Trump from office.  That and it appeared radical Islam had been put in check.   They needed a new boogieman to scare the American people and the world for that matter.   Its as simple as that and many on here fell for it.

The weak minded fall for anything.  Now, is it "falling" or is it just obeying orders now?  Hard to say.  One leads to the other.

Great, now there’s two more countries Russia won’t move on and soon to be a third. Peace through strength.

How wonderful for the young men and people of Ukraine.   Pretty obvious you don't have many military age young men in your life.

There is a ton of new stuff needed and being worked on.  Most of it of course is robotic, but no reason to have loss of life when in a situation where we are helping on foreign soil.  Testing in non-battle situations has been done, but that is sort of like testing a snowmobile on a test track.  We've seen how that has gone for the polaris fireball, cat's clutching/gearing and so on...

As if that’s a prerequisite in sharing your opinion that war is awful, which it absolutely is. We can’t make Ukraine fight, especially for as long and hard as they have been, but we can and should give them weapons to defend their homeland for as long as they are willing to.
