Got my hands on a 24 Polaris 600 Cross Country today. That sled is built to WIN. If I was just starting out, no way would I buy a RXC and probably not a XRS Comp Package either.

  • he does not

  • Because they are going to call you up and tell you that they had problems...

they must suck at racing and clutching because he didn't have to push the Catalyst hard enough to break anything

The Polaris guys forgot to call nsp for top secret clutching. Nsp is pissed about this because he had the winning combo

Dillon and Dustin are on their way north for the Iron Dog.

Being the week after the Soo, I'm guessing a lot of them wanted a weekend off, but hell, you are like 1/2 way their at the Soo.

Yea not for this specific event obviously it wouldn’t be now for Dustin but him and revering have been commenting on a bunch of the AXC posts for later in the season. Unfortunate warm up the last week because Herf was gonna stay for the first terrain race next week but that’s obviously canceled now. It was gonna be a good time too we took a buggy around the course a couple months ago.

Belt drive won’t last the 2500 miles.

Last longer than a chain. If a chain breaks, you are also replacing the case, 90% of the time if not higher.

They last on Polaris mountain sleds?  Maybe because they test so much up that way on the trails?

Unless they pick up some MPH's, it'll be a struggle to outrun the Polaris and Doos on a fast course.

Polaris reasoning or at least it was a few years ago that they didn't see the belt holding up to the shock loads the flatlander trail sleds see compared to the mountain sleds.  Maybe the 858 will have a chain ??

No, no they don’t. If Polaris had any faith in the durability of their 10+ year old design they’d have installed it on a trail sled. But they haven’t as it won’t hold up to shock loads and throttle on landings. Cat’s system is a gimmick and they won’t race it in snoX or the Iron Dog cause it won’t last.

Holds up better than a chain.  Maybe go plus 32 on your next jug. They have raced it in sno Cross btw.

Nope. They evolved from arcane chain cases.
