Comparing different states with vastly different economies and resources then pointing squarely at political ideology as reasoning for successes or failures is completely ridiculous

Cali raised taxes on those who could most afford it, KS and LA went with the trickled on theory of cutting taxes to the wealthy, the results are real world. In any sane world successful models are duplicated and improved upon, failed models are discarded and tossed into the trash heap of history.

Especially, when you are going to pick and choose only states that back up your model.

Not to mention most red states are economic shitholes. Their model keeps the poor right where they are with little opportunity for advancement. But they can always move... to a blue state. Or go totally socialist and move to Canada...

These are three states that took uniquely different approaches to the economy of there state, LA and KS had surplus budgets and they now have deficit budgets and troubled economies, CA had a huge deficit and a troubled economy and they reversed there misfortune.

You really should not let your political views skew your outlook when the results are plain as day, I know I would certainly never run my business in a failed model so why would anyone want there government to run on failed model?

No doubt, and it's those policies that has the GOP now stuck with it's tit in the ringer with their presumptive candidate Mr. Trump.

Vincent all three are completely different makeup across the board.  Calling the out come successful v.s the other isn't more then personal views.  Is today's economy different from decades prior yes.  Has and does government harm areas of growth yep. Any one that claims otherwise is being selective

The provinces run by Conservative governments fared much better than the ones run by the socialists.

Who is talking about economies of decades past? This topic is about current state economies and the results of recent policies and the results.

The western provinces benefited immensely from the oil sands boom, but even with all that the GDP of the all the western provinces combined barely equal the GDP of the librul Ontario and if we include the hated PDQ the east clobbers the west and we know Alberta skews the numbers for the west as seen in the 2014 chart at the link, although we know that has changed dramatically since the bust in the oil patch.

The western provinces benefited from boom that was the oil sands, yet librul Ontario's GDP outstripped all the western provinces combined.

Models are built on pass historical events and global economic events the latter is more true of today. The term trickle down is old and the other forms of economic management aren't to far behind.

But, people do.

That is why he is using a snapshot of three cherry picked  states to make a point.

You agree, so don't want to give it any further scrutiny.

They also outstripped all the other provinces debt combined, including that of Federal government.  That is until Trutard came to town.

How does this chart look Vince?

They are considered "Have Not" provinces, but lets just look at one number, GDP even though you are running massive deficits.

The three states in this topic are prime examples of policy success and failures.

Funny how the brain washed retards keep doubling down on the Republican policies even with historical example after example of utter failure. Yet they are embracing Trump's liberal rhetoric because well, he's a Republican...

Seriously???   Let me know when you donate another 15% of your gross income to Obama in hopes of becoming more like Canada?

Politicians do not create prosperity, they only drain it.

Historical examples of Liberal policy successes?  Guys, both you and Vince are maximizing on union protectionism bidding for contracts.  You both seriously need to get a grip and look at how far behind you guys are in education,  work ethic and productivity compared to other countries.  I know, cause I see it every day.

Your using your big brush again.  Of this topic neither you or mileage have post evidence of economic growth or improvement beyond the sole benefits of government to government. Wonderful comparison of two different economic segments to prove one narrow narrative.  Expand and you will find  negative impact.

Well you like to focus on the negative of one while we focus on the negative of the other. The difference being in the Republican states they have lower economic activity and lower wages. Where do you live?

All this talk about California having had a surplus contradicts the stories of it being broke and Californian cities going bankrupt
