One company I bought LIpo batteries from gave you a complimentary fire proof bag.

Same with me, my Traxxas RC truck batts came with a fire proof bag.

There is a "C" rating on Lipo batteries that gives you a number at to how fast the battery can discharge.  The higher the number the more volatile the battery. When I first started flying RC planes i made this foam plane that would easily top 100mph.  The plane was way faster than I could fly and when it got ahead of me I flew it into a chain link fence at which point there was an explosion and a fire.  those batteries are like M80s.
