Protect Reporters From Exploitative State Spying (PRESS) Act

Recommended Posts

Blocked by Republican Tom Cotton, who apparently is a deep state puppet.

Cotton said the bill “would open a floodgate of leaks damaging to law enforcement and our nation’s security.”

“The press unfortunately has a long and sordid history of publishing sensitive information from inside the government that damages our national security,” he said on the Senate floor. “During the Vietnam War the New York Times published the Pentagon Papers in an effort to demoralize the American people and turn them against the war effort.”

as much as I detest certain media outlets... I support freedom of speech and freedom of the press... even when they are wrong or flat out lying with opinion.

thing is... journalistic integrity seems to be a thing of the past.  it's all about points and ad revenue.

of all the crazies out there... Jesse Ventura nailed it with the 24/7 lame stream media.
