The last electrician I used needed his fingers to do math. But was damn good. My master plumber is among the smartest guys I've ever had on a site....and most fucking expensive!!! The fucking twat! That's when I learned the difference between being a commercial contractor and a residential contractor. We are always under the gun, tight schedules, multiple work areas, multiple phases, everything has to be done right and on time. You call a residential contractor, they might show up when they say, they might bring the stuff to do the job. Definitely won't get done in a timely manner or the schedule you set for them, and might not do the job correctly the first time. They want their money up front, etc... I'm like WTF? How can you operate like this? I'd never get any repeat business if I operated like that and repeat business is probably 50% of my nut. There are stereotypes for a reason, they aren't always 100% across the board but assumptions can be made and will most likely not disappoint.
