D8 at work, we have a manual fuel shutoff valve. And a fire suppression system. Those two things probably would of saved it. It's the DPF that gets much hotter, especially during a regen. They can have runaway regens and the core basically turns to lava. Lots of times these are a hydraulic leak spraying on an ignition source. It's why they use fire resistant fluids in so many critical hydraulic applications.
