Wars yes.  Housing collapse...no.  Place blame where it is due.

Ummm when did the credit default swaps start to kick off? Did bush gut the regulatory oversight of the markets? Yeah bush has some skin in that brah...

Dude, I watched companies who have been around forever go out of business in the short time after the crash. I knew dozens of people who were unemployed in 2009. I'm not seeing any of that right now. It is FAR better now than it was 8 years ago.

Thats why I said stable....one wrong move could be disastrous.

clinton actualy gutted most of it and then the dems wouldn't let the bush admin keep fannie and freddie from competing with private companies or shitty credit mortgages.  Reality is blame belongs to both parties and the constant mantra of politicians that everyone should be a homeowner.

No...he did not cut regulatory oversights.  He may have some skin in it but everybody with a brain saw it coming and Fannie and Freddy had fucked up the whole whole nation to a point it was best to let it all go.  Not that there was a choice.

Why do you think it all came about? I'll give you a hint, it rhymes with "lemocrats".

Bush bragged about homeownership being up under his admin, didn't change any rules when his party had control, had the fed. regulators done their jobs it never would have gotten so far out of hand.

Even now after the collapse these dumb fucks want to loosen regulations on borrowing.

Of course, the Democrats sabotaged him!

Those "conservatives" massively increased spending and had the largest growth of govt in our lifetime. They do NOT get a pass. Oh and to pay for all of their reckless spending the CUT taxes on the highest earners leaving chumps like us to pay the bills. Those neocons sure are some economic wizards eh?

You are changing the narrative.  Did you have a cup of lib-tard soup for dinner?

Slow your roll and get your head right.

:pc:

In 1999, Democrats led by President Bill Clinton and Republicans led by Sen. Phil Gramm joined forces to repeal Glass-Steagall at the behest of the big banks. What happened over the next eight years was an almost exact replay of the Roaring Twenties. Once again, banks originated fraudulent loans and once again they sold them to their customers in the form of securities. The bubble peaked in 2007 and collapsed in 2008. The hard-earned knowledge of 1933 had been lost in the arrogance of 1999.

Credit default swaps have existed since 1994, and increased in use after 2003. By the end of 2007, the outstanding CDS amount was $62.2 trillion,[3]

2003 is when it got nuts and it didn't take long to pop after that. 2003-2008. In 5 years they killed the world economy. Obama hasn't done anything close to that kind of fuckery.
