Since it seems the OFSC doesn't want to post anything about trails closing I think we need to get the word about closures. Post what you know. Here is one that I know of:

Trail 302 on Hwy 35 is closed from Sandy Hook Rd South down to the tunnel.  You will have to go South at the Long Sault Club house to access the Ganaraska Forest

  • This has been your schtick for years now yet people are still sledding. Do you have anything different to talk about or are you just waiting for the day to come years from now to say, I told ya so?

  • If said clubhouse was sold while the club still existed then the club fold or threw in the towel the district would then take over said clubs accounts so if said clubhouse money was in there then woul

606 (Railbed) Trail Update
We are unhappy to report that we will be closing the section of the 606 Railbed trail from Tory Hill to Gooderham. This is the result of a few inconsiderate people using that section of the trail in the off-season who were causing damage, partying and driving/riding recklessly past cabins right close to the trail. Landowners in this area have told us that they have been subjected to harassment and threats and that they are concerned for their safety and that of their belongings and buildings in summer and in winter. As often seems to be the case, a few have caused a problem for the many of us that used this trail without issue in all seasons.

Contrary to popular belief, this trail is not all public land and, up to now, these owners have been willing members of our landowner community. With the recent problems, it is understandable that they have had to revoke access. We thank them for the many years that we were able to use their property for our trail.
As everyone knows, access to trails is not a given and our system depends on private landowners.

Maddening about this is that last winter the club opened a new trail to make access to the gas station in Gooderham easier.

Yup. Heard about it. Frustrating. Assume the 607 will be closed as well as I can't see a reroute being done.

Almost makes the BDSC 509 a dead end trail as the HCSA 9 has hardly been open over the last few years.

BDSC opened a new section at the top of the 509 to accommodate a great landowner. That costs $$$ and time. Again, frustrating.

606 Railbed Trail - Good News!
We are pleased to let everyone know we have determined a re-route for the section of the 606 Railbed trail from Tory Hill to Gooderham. The re-routed trail will appear on the paper map and the Interactive Trail Guide. We want to thank the snowmobilers and volunteers who contacted us with ideas and offers to help.

As to the bridge closure on the same trail between Tory Hill and Wilberforce (near Farr Road), we are helping the municipality find a solution and we will let everyone know if they do.

An update for E110 in the vicinity of the Paudash clubhouse. It will be closed between TOP E and PTB 617 (the Saunders Trail) until further notice. The south end of 617 will detour this. For those unfamiliar w/ 617, it is the trail that crosses Dyno Road, just north of its intersection w/ Hwy 28.
