Companies pay in so deserving workers are given unemployment for times like this. Truthfully its part of the employee's compensation. Yes people should be able to go at least a month or two on a rainy day fund but that does not excuse the states poor response time. Agree 100%, it's absolutely disgusting that the unemployed can't get their benefits in a timely manner. IMO get the useless govt. out of managing UC, make the employer continue to pay the benefits but those benefits should go into that employee's own account and by law can not be touched until that employee actually needs them for when they do become unemployed.
