He won’t be invited back because he told the truth China gave WHO everything that was needed to develop a test the first week of January. All developed countries got the info. America sat on it. Because Dr. Fauci and the CDC didn't think it was a concern. Fuck you guys are gullible. This doctor was NOT being truthful. He doesn't even want people to leave their homes. Here is actual data from the WHO. So....this good doctor is claiming that when 44 cases of a novel coronavirus with an unknown etiology were reported to the WHO on Dec 31st thru January 3rd the US should have designed and mass produced a test for it? Fuck do you guys have an ounce of common sense? • On 31 December 2019, the WHO China Country Office was informed of cases of pneumonia unknown etiology (unknown cause) detected in Wuhan City, Hubei Province of China. From 31 December 2019 through 3 January 2020, a total of 44 case-patients with pneumonia of unknown etiology were reported to WHO by the national authorities in China. On 11 and 12 January 2020, WHO received further detailed information from the National Health Commission China that the outbreak is associated with exposures in one seafood market in Wuhan City. • The Chinese authorities identified a new type of coronavirus, which was isolated on 7 January 2020. • On 12 January 2020, China shared the genetic sequence of the novel coronavirus for countries to use in developing specific diagnostic kits. • On 13 January 2020, the Ministry of Public Health, Thailand reported the first imported case of lab-confirmed novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) from Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. • On 15 January 2020, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Japan (MHLW) reported an imported case of laboratory-confirmed 2019-novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) from Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. • On 20 January 2020, National IHR Focal Point (NFP) for Republic of Korea reported the first case of novel coronavirus in the Republic of Korea. Platinum Contributing Member Highmark Posted April 2, 2020 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted April 2, 2020 I hate to inform the good doctor but what was done in SK would never have been accepted here. SK has 51.5 million people we have at least 320 million. No way we can react in the same manner. 1. SK put infrared monitors in their airports that could detect people with "fevers." Ok might not have been thought of as an infringement in the US but SK has 2 international airports. The US has 149. Not something that can be done quickly. 2. SK forced people with symptoms or positive tests to download an AP so the govt could monitor their location. If they left home they were arrested. Yeah....not happening here. 3. SK had an app that informed you of a positive test in your building or neighborhood. Yeah...not happening here.
Gold Member Kivalo Posted April 2, 2020 Gold Member Share Posted April 2, 2020 We should have accepted the Chinese tests and used it in affected areas despite it's unreliability. Simultaneously, the CDC should have working on our own test. Lake of testing early on has been a big causal factor.

Platinum Contributing Member Highmark Posted April 2, 2020 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted April 2, 2020 So we knew the gene sequence on January 12th and should have been able to snap our fingers and voila have millions of tests done within a few weeks. Just how quickly do you think we should have been able to produce millions tests getting the virus sequence on Jan 12th? You know you can't just use a normal influenza test right? It had to be a whole new test and could only be produced by approved companies or the CDC. Then you had to be able to analyze the test which our govt only allowed in certain labs. The admin changed that rather quickly. What response has been so horrible? Some of you sound to me like the fat out of shape dad who says how good they were in HS sports when then never seen the field or court. WHO gave the US the entire genome map of the virus during early January to start on research and testing development. The U.K. decided to do nothing and depend on herd immunity. The USA dragged their feet and saw no threat. China, in so many ways responded much more rapidly than the west.
