It seems like the same people who believed everyone was going to die from climate change now believe that everyone is going to die from this cold

Honestly its common sense.   80% of who they say have it show very mild symptoms.   Not hard to assume those people are not getting tested with the limited availability of tests.

Yes.

All you have to do is look at the graph to see people are dying here. Its going to get way way worse before it gets better.

NYC hospitals are over run. Sick people are being herded out to rural hospitals. The virus will soon spread to the countryside.

This is only the beginning.

Because he like many only care about themselves. If they were in danger of dying they would be all psychotic. If not they dont want to be bothered with the inconvenience. Unless its some made up story about abortion then they will be outraged but not a pregnant woman losing a baby because of coronavirus that is just God's hands. :bc:

The world death rate is 4%. Its not 1 to 1.5%.

you brought it up in here, again. Why are you so fixated on it?

Because mortality rates being a percent and a half to 2% lower than originally predicted is good news.

I really feel like I'm talking to Daiv here

I've said all along mortality rates are irrelevant at this point because the data can not support accurate numbers one way or another. Only true way to look at mortality rates is via closed cases and there is plenty of time for that.

Keep hanging on an arbitrary and most likely highly inaccurate number to fail at proving a point though, carry on.

The death rate in the US has remained fairly steady at 1.5% for a month or more. It dips down and up a few tenths from 1.5 but it has not gone from 3.5% to 1.5% in the US. The death rate was never 3.5-4% in the US. You are just making that bull shit up.

I've had lots of friends die.

It happens.

We all die eventually.

I've lost more friends and people I know than I can count, but only one so far from this, and it does make it real.

We should be more concerned about the amount of recovery.

Doom and gloom all the time like AK talks about isn't good for anyone.

Reality is often a bitter pill to swallow.

Reality is what is needed IMO, not thinking it's just a cold.

And you keep looking at good news as bad, have at it, fill your boots and enjoy yourself

Just a different kind.

We will learn and deal with it.
