Run at least a 1500 ft if you want to see if a sled can catch up, or pass. I guess it all depends on what you are trying to prove, or dis-prove, with a race ??? When we used to fool around racing against our buddies, we would run 3 different types of races. Set up your sled, and with zero changes, run 600 ft, 1000 ft, and 2000 ft.
