Strong women don't hide behind gender as an excuse.

There is no doubt gender plays a role in many high end jobs.  It wasn't long ago there were no women at the top.  School board would be a prime example of this. Police is another.

This didn't happen over night

Its become okay for a right wing conservative to vote a women in,  maybe in just the last 5 years - are these women running today hiding behind gender :dunno:  oh you will say they are strong, facts are they were a long time ago but never given  a chance

Show of hands, how many still get a weird feeling if a women is at the parts counter?

One that note Women have totally taken over the real estate  world unfair to ugly men

yes it is happening lately, never did before

Not in the private sector, its been that way for a long time.  JT doesn't get it esp since there were more qualified females for his position.  He should step aside.

And how do you think that came about? :dunno:

It's pretty simple concept. Outside of a union where people get promoted based on merit rather than who has been there the longest, they proved they were the best person for the job through their skills and past performance.

Jesus dude of course it has, JT didn't invent the movement

If Nursing was all men, they would be making 50% more money - first thing is they would make a bigger up roar as a Union/Association but since its a female dominated field they make waves and make less than any TradesPEOPLE :dunno:

Just one example of Trudeau and his women movement

Sure as hell not at the CEO level... the shareholders aren't going to give the financial future of the company to an incompetent. If you are looking at a low skill low training job that will happen much more often than anything where there is actual skills required. Who really needs a whole lot of scrutiny and does an extensive job hunt for the TTC ticket seller.

Manager hires a person without the skills to do the job. Director challenges the manager about the screw ups the new person is making.... manager sure as hell doesn't want to tell his boss he's incompetent at hiring the right people for the job.

A manager with any sense hires the best person for the job because those people make the manager look good.

02sled the CEO level is the ultimate boys club, some real smart women do break the barriers once in a while.

Fact is JT is jumping on it, 50% of the voters - what are you arguing about :dunno:

Nursing?  Come on I work with high end professionals every day and can tell you who the best are regardless of gender.  JT is pandering for votes without substance.

I know what Trudope is doing... the reality is that in a skilled position typically the best qualified for the job gets the job. Lots of large organizations have measures in place to avoid nepotism. When we needed to fill a job above a specific level the first screening process was our talent acquisition group. They would then send the filtered applicants resumes to the hiring manager. Policy was that the face to face interview have the hiring manager and at least one other do the interview.

They put me through 3 conference call interviews with 2 or 3 people on the other end each time then flew me to Plano for a face to face with the person who would be my manager and two others.

Lots of women and I mean lots are in management and senior management positions. I have had lots of women as my manager over the years and all of them got there because they were good. Not because some twit like Trudope mandated it.

There was a time where if you were a white male and you wanted a government job in Onatrio or a federal government job don't even bother to apply. If you were a non-white woman you could get almost any job you wanted, especially if you had a disability.

Get ready for another dip into our pockets....

Mississauga teen who admitted to NYC terror plot asks for ‘second chance’

In the letter filed to a New York court on Friday, Abdulrahman El Bahnasawy outlined his personal history with addiction and mental illness, and explained that he felt American airstrikes against the Middle East drove him to jihadism.

He said he chose to go to the U.S. to carry out the plan because Canada had recently stopped its airstrikes, “and it didn’t make sense to transgress back against them in such a way.”

Police secretly arrested El Bahnasawy, then 18, in what they said was a plot by Daesh sympathizers to attack New York City concert venues, subway stations and Times Square. He was arrested after travelling from Canada to New Jersey in 2016. The records in his case were sealed for more than a year as police tried to hunt down his accomplices.

Authorities announced the charges against him after two other suspects were arrested in Pakistan and the Philippines.

Trudope didn't save him, bring him home and give him a hug... should be good for another $10M.

I am currently attending a course in Germany with 2 guys from India.  They also think Justin Trudeau is a flake.

India is laughing at Canada after Trudeau and his visit.  They were showing me the India news articles and explaining the titles

They are also questioning why Trudeau would support Sikh separatists.

Trudeau is a huge failure.

Women are getting fed up with Trudope just like India has had their fill of him

https://www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/article-trudeau-is-an-insult-to-feminism-and-to-seriousness/

The past two weeks have not been kind to Justin Trudeau’s image.

wound up with the worst press of any Canadian PM on any foreign trip that anyone can remember. Canada-India relations are now in possibly their worst shape ever.

pandering is what Mr. Trudeau does best. He wants to be more feminist than the feminists and more Bollywood than Shah Rukh Khan. The trouble is that he’s trying way too hard. So he just comes off as opportunistic and condescending.

Both the India trip and the budget − both of which should be routine affairs – have exposed the worst defects of Mr. Trudeau and his team. They are all politics and no policy; all play-acting and no substance.

The usual response from the Prime Minister’s Office toward anyone who dares to criticize Mr. Trudeau – dismiss it as an example of partisan politics

The India trip exposed Mr. Trudeau and his team as shallow, fundamentally unserious, and seriously incompetent.

In addition to a new paternity leave, it included more money for female entrepreneurs, $23-million for new multiculturalism programs and a national anti-racism plan, $214-million to remove racial barriers, promote gender equality, and combat homophobia and transphobia, and other funding for “racialized and immigrant women.”

What’s interesting here is not the amounts of money, which are relatively small, but the world view, which comes straight from a gender-studies course. Women as a gender need special help because they are automatically oppressed, and “racialized” women need even more special help. Instead of being individuals with different preferences, goals, beliefs, and interests, all Canadians are defined by our inherent traits of gender, ethnicity, class, race and sexual orientation, and are arranged in a sort of hierarchy of oppression. This appears to be the intellectual framework of Mr. Trudeau’s brain trust.

I don't think any of that is the work of Trudeau's brain. I'd put my money on Butts. Look how him & Pointyhead dove headfirst into the green energy plan. Hows that working out?

I wonder if a female friend could sue a former employer? She was the senior of 2 persons doing the same IT job. In a corporate restructuring, she was let go w/ a nice severance package & the junior employee (male) was kept. In her own words she said that the junior employee would've been paid less, so that was the rationale for keeping him. Several months later she told me that according to her spies/former co-workers in the office, the guy was barely keeping his head above water.

She's been doing contract work since & is quite happy.

I guess that's what happens when the beancounters make HR decisions.

In Trudope's mind he's better than Jesus. He is going to save the world.
