They are allowed to be self righteous and claim for his impeachment for lying about it. When Trump pays hush money to avoid taking about fucking a porn star, he doesn't have to testify, he can break campaign finance laws etc. He can even admit to sexually assaulting women and Republicans will think it is funny.
