Time to starve the Cubans now!

Recommended Posts

Those people aren’t starving. Most are on the fat side. They have nothing but they’re well fed.

and the collapse of Venezuela is a lot more to blame than the US.

So why sanctions? Cuba doesn't have oil...

You think the citizens there are all living the life of Riley.  Nawww...I’m sure it’s not oppressive and brutal at all.  Those aren’t normal traits for communism.

This IS weird!

There’s blame on both sides, but the sanctions at this point are stupid. They don’t really have a devastating affect though, the Cubans really don’t have a lot to sell.

I got to watch some of their propaganda videos while they’re. Pretty interesting

Well with Pork being a substantial portion of their diet it doesn't help that China might lose 1/3 of their hogs due to African swine flu.

As consumers turn to other meat all prices will rise.

https://www.cnn.com/2019/05/15/business/african-swine-fever-hebei-pork-scn-intl/index.html

African swine fever (ASF) is decimating China's pork industry, by far the biggest in the world. Dutch bank Rabobank, which lends to the global agricultural sector, estimates the country's pig population could shrink by a third in 2019 -- up to 200 million animals -- through a combination of the disease and culling.

To put it in context, that's almost as many pigs as in the US and Europe combined.

And it's not just producers who are hurting. The epidemic could also have a broader economic impact: China is the world's largest consumer of pork, a staple for the vast majority of its 1.4 billion people.
According to government forecasts, the price of pork could rise to record levels in the second half of 2019, as demand overwhelms supply.
Analysts say there isn't enough pork in the world to cover China's expected shortfall and consumers are likely to turn to other meats as a substitute.

It’s a very unique place. The people are nice. It’s very safe for tourists. They generally don’t even look at you or bother you at all. Very nice there’s no Americans

Lift all sanctions of Cuba. What is the motive for causing suffering of the people there?

Sadly the intentions no longer justify the means.   People need to want and earn their freedom we should not force it upon them.

One problem remains.   Those in power benefit more from our trade than the people.  Still no longer justifiable in my book.

Those little cocksuckers had the audacity to turn commie and accept help from Russia. But hey, now that Trump accepts help from Russia we should lift the sanctions, us and Cuba are brothers now!!

Who knows. The embargo was lifted for a short time and tourism started picking up, we actually were planning to go there. Cuba was a pretty cool place before all fo the fuckery started. Let them have first world luxuries and lets see what happens.

Cuba\cubans aren’t  “indigenous” to the area, but came about from Spanish frigging the slaves. The population grew to the point they made their own group identity as “Cubans”  at that point they started to get a thirst for independence

they fought for years then thought they had it when the US intervened. But then their “elected” dictator Batista was just a puppet for the US and in bed with the mafia. So the thirst for true independence remained as the US had it written into their law that they could contravene into Cuba at any time after running the Spanish out, which was also a big setup by the US

thats where Fidel came in

the US is anything but innocent. There’s blame on both sides but the US was the worse aggressor

I hope the Cubans are smart enough to keep out all the resorts.

Why are we stopping them from having “first world luxuries”?

Not sure what choice they had after the embargo’s. Fidel wasn’t really much of a communist but his brother and Che were big time

Fidel’s brother has actually relaxed the laws some now on private business. Like they can run their own restaurants and what not
