How much money would AOC's proposed 70% tax bracket bring in?

It's not long division to figure this out.  Money, employment and opportunities start to go elsewhere.  It's no different than a city, county or state taxing people out ot their homes into nearby communities or rural areas.  It's a big lose...fortunately, Cortez is just there for entertainment purposes.

Where will they go nightcap?

You bitch about taxes.  You brag about your wealth.  You live in Canada.  You’re not leaving.  Why would wealthy Americans leave but wealthy Canadians stay?

Because he’s a lying fucktard. He would be as dumb as shit to pay 54%. He can make $500,000.00 in his company and pay 13.5%. He won’t hit the 54 % unless he clears 225,000 in wages.  He can pay his wife and kids from the hold co.

These assholes pretend life is rough but we have it made.

We did best when our tax code was progressive and we had a strong middle class.  The wealthy elites love Mouthbreathers like you and/or you enjoy the golden trickle.  You might be the dumbest mother fucker on the site......along with Doe Dumber :lmao:

Another idiot.   ETR's are not that much different than when TMR'S were 90%.   Add on top of all the other taxes and regs added its worse today.  Fuck can you guys research and think beyond socialist taling points.

You really have no clue.

I know that until Morneau started attacking Hold Co’s It was a great family tax dodge for some.

I’m betting you’ve done some income splitting to avoid taxes. Write offs that non business owners can’t use etc.

You’ve said before that your accountant is aggressive.

Not even close.  See, dude...this is what happens when you try and explain things with Tool Kit.  It eats away at your brain!  :lmao:

What I meant in the bold was, being dumb, jealous, spiteful people can still mean they are intelligent enough to understand the issue with taxing the rich like this...they are just mad about it.  It's the ones that are ignorant that are the real problems.  Cortez is one......along with many that follow them around.

The only HoldCo I was interested a discretionary trust, I believe I have mentioned that before.  It would cost about 40K to setup and and lets you pay out whatever and to whom is part of  the legal entity.

Then Trudeau came along and were advised to nix it, also passive investments.

I do what I can, at some point it really makes no difference.

We set ours up 25 years ago. That and a Preferred share freeze worked well. Also protected some assets in case of legal action.  If we had wanted to be really aggressive we could have significantly reduced our taxes. Paid our wives and kids etc.

There is a reason they say the first million is the most difficult.
