KAVANAUGH JOINS LIBERALS TO PROTECT PRO-PLANNED PARENTHOOD RULING

There are many many many people out there that would love to take care of them. Oh, and I've never bitched about children being taken care of. Plus your response is the typical straw man argument that is floated around here. You know the argument that abortion is okay because someone disagrees with social spending by the government.

Abortion shouldn't be used as a form of contraception period

Nor should our military be used by private interests and foreign govts to procure mineral assets of other countries who have not attacked us or pose any threat to us. $750 billion next year of post birth abortion by the tens of thousands.

You didn’t read what I wrote at all did you? I made my point as clear as day. One ruling doesn’t make him bad or good. You can agree with a ruling but still not like or dislike someone. Go back and read it again.

I agree, let's see how he rules on things.

Why have people allowed themselves to be taught to think this way?  How many military families got raises?   How many jobs are created because of this?  If this was a bailout or tarp or called anything but "military spending" would it be viewed differently?

Taught? Come on. It’s true. Also, the VA isn’t part of that $750B. A 2.3% pay raise? No raise to BAH. So not keeping pace with inflation or COL increases. Noted. Don’t even try to use it’s better than before. A turd sammich is a turd sammich even if you added more lettuce. Jobs created that are unsustainable in the long run due to the expense to our debt. So those jobs go away when the world economy crashes and we can’t afford the MIC. That sounds great... Basically what we have here is corporate MIC welfare with no tangible benefit to the men and women who serve.

You want to talk what’s good for soldiers? How about you understand what they are getting first?

See dude, you don't respond with anything substantial, so why respond at all?   Or should I just start saying "FISH ON"

Veterans Affairs

The Veterans Affairs Department requested $199 billion, an increase of $12 billion, or 6.5 percent, from the current request. The plan includes nearly $110 billion in mandatory funding for benefits programs and $89 billion in discretionary funding, with the goal of "expanding health-care services, improving quality and expanding choice to over 9 million enrolled Veterans," the VA said. The budget includes money for the Veterans Choice Program, which allows vets to seek private-sector care. It also includes another $1.2 billion for a costly effort begun in 2011 to make health records electronic and reintroduces a controversial proposal to round-down cost-of-living (COLA) adjustments to the nearest dollar for vets who receive disability compensation -- a practice that was standard until 2013, Stars and Stripes reported.

This was in the breakdown for the 716 billion that was previously requested.

This still gives racer the chills. Filmed shortly before exploding deficits, expansion of the Afghanistan war effort, increased trade deficits, and expanding illegal immigration.

No. Wrong. It is not of the $716B. The VA is not included in the $716B previously agreed on. They are separate from the DOD budget. Do I have to explain this again? Also, if you read your own quote, the first sentence clearly outlines a key word: REQUESTED. Not given. So you have the $750B and then an additional amount for the VA. I’ll be civil when debating you, but you need to inform yourself because right now you are lost. 85D0F926-D074-4F81-9FE3-44D17ED7BFD7.thumb.png.264f8e6e972c269a44c45dbee53782f6.png

And when added in the total nears 1 trillion.

And how much is a trillion?

You can spend $1,000,000 dollars a day, 365 days a year and it would take you approximately 3000 years to spend a trillion dollars.

except the military is the largest global warming culprit in the world. oops! would be more environmentally friendly to engage in biological warfare.

They put it in as a breakdown, but I guess it is not, it is added to it.

https://iava.org/blogs/budget-breakdown-2019-numbers-for-va-dod-and-what-they-mean/

It’s a common misconception, but a very important one. That’s a big excuse that the neocons Love to use. “Don’t you care about the troops?” The DOD budget does cover COLA/pay increases, but they are also nominal (even if they are the biggest...). So where does that money go? Yes, you’re right, it creates jobs, but at what expense to our economical solvency? At what expense to future generations? That money is thrown out the window because not throwing it out the window hurts jobs. How about we slice that sucker in half and spend it where it counts. Consolidate, reform, improve. Then we take that $375B and spend it on job creation in industries that have a return...

Yep, I missed that and I am all for slicing it in half or more.  BTW, who is going to lead that charge?  Did you see how the votes went previously, seems that it isn't just one sided.

Neocons aren’t just R’s, you’re right on that. The charge is led by setting the stage. Election reform (money), a rethought global presence where everyone else doesn’t need to have a tape measure whipped out to compare weenies, and alternative jobs created/ready to be created. Then you just need a leader... A real one. Not a Trump, Obama, Bush, Clinton, etc. Unfortuantely leaders are like unicorns. You know exactly what they are, what they look like, but you don’t ever see them.
