Hong Kong residents still enjoy hugely more freedom than their mainland counterparts. More than 100,000 people attended an outdoor vigil in Hong Kong last week to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square crackdown while any mention of the date was outlawed in China.

Hong Kong does enjoy more liberties than others but that is at the discretion of the Chinese government. They value the economic impact Hong Kong brings as they do the economic impact of business in China. China is no longer what a lot of people perceive from years ago of everyone running around dressed the same.

China's luxury car market is poised to eclipse that of North America this year if it hasn't already done so.

Yes HK residences can come and go into the mainland, but not the other way around.  Still only one government.

Those cars are something.  Whoever is in the back controls the seats of whoever is driving and riding in the front.  Not to bright.

Not sure what Momo claimed but Hong Kong is part of China.

At midnight on June 30/July 1, 1997, the crown colony of Hong Kong officially reverted to Chinese sovereignty, ending 156 years of British rule. After a formal handover ceremony on July 1, the colony became the Hong Kong special administrative region (HKSAR) of the People's Republic of China.

Just before July 97 there was a massive exit of people and money from Hong Kong.

The transfer of sovereignty over Hong Kong from the United Kingdom to the People's Republic of China, referred to as "the Handover" internationally or "the Return" in China, took place on 1 July 1997. The landmark event marked the end of British rule in Hong Kong, and is often considered to mark the end of the British Empire.

I understand quite well the situation with HK you moron. The premise of the original conversation was that HK is far different from the mainland in terms of communist influence and freedom of function for its citizens.

Hence my stating that "HK os not china"

Fucking know nothing moron
