Poll: Clinton up 9 points in Florida

(CNN)Hillary Clinton has built a 9-point lead over Donald Trump in Florida, according to a poll released Tuesday, owing to her advantage among minorities and white women in the state.

The survey from Monmouth University found Clinton with the support of 48% of likely voters in the important swing state, compared with 39% for Trump. Libertarian Gary Johnson nets support from 6% of Florida voters.

Among Hispanic, black and Asian voters -- a collective bloc that comprises a third of Florida's electorate -- the poll found Clinton with a massive lead over Trump, 69% to 19%.

The poll showed that although Trump has a lead among white voters in Florida -- 51% to 37% -- Clinton benefits from a gender split. Trump leads big among white men, 64% to 24%, while Clinton holds a 10-point edge among white women, 49% to 39%.

And Trump is faring worse among the state's white voters than Mitt Romney, who carried the group by 24 points in his 2012 race against Barack Obama.

It is yet more grim polling news for Trump, who has endured a rough stretch of the campaign after accepting the Republican presidential nomination in Cleveland last month.

Since then, poll after poll has shown Clinton with widening leads both nationally and in crucial swing states. A Washington Post poll of Virginia also out Tuesday showed Clinton up 14 points among registered voters, and 8 points among likely voters.

Despite those poll numbers in the head-to-head matchup, the former secretary of state continues to display her own vulnerabilities as a candidate.

The Monmouth poll found that only 36% of Florida voters have a favorable opinion of Clinton, while 50% have an unfavorable opinion. That's only slightly better than Trump fared in the poll: 33% of voters there said they have a favorable impression of the GOP nominee, while 54% said they view him unfavorably.

Monmouth conducted the poll August 12-15, using phone interviews with 402 likely Florida voters. It has a margin of error of 4.9 percentage points.

Let me ask you this then. Have you ever watched the Special Olympics and sort of felt sorry for those competitors since they were generally born that way and couldn't help it? Kind of along the lines of feeling bad that they have to go through life that way with such a disadvantage?

Ok, last question..............Do you think Slope is "Normal" in any way, shape or form?

It's the MSM medias fault Dump is shaking up his campaign.....it's what campaigns that are doing well do

is it a fact he's shaking up his campaign or is the info rigged :news:

Trump campaign undergoes major overhaul

(CNN)Donald Trump's campaign is undergoing a major staff shake-up with less than three months to Election Day, adding two officials to top posts overseeing his struggling campaign and signaling a shift in campaign leadership toward a more aggressive style willing to go scorched earth in order to win.

Trump has named Steve Bannon, the executive chairman of Breitbart News and a former investment banker, to the post of chief executive and promoted Kellyanne Conway, a senior adviser and pollster to his campaign, to the position of campaign manager, Conway confirmed to CNN early Wednesday morning.

The addition of Bannon -- known for his brass-knuckled demeanor and his website's sharp tone -- came hours after reports surfaced that Roger Ailes, the recently ousted head of Fox News, will begin to advise Trump as he prepares for the presidential debates. The influence of both men lays the groundwork for unleashing Trump this fall from the more traditional presidential candidate framework, which Campaign Chairman Paul Manafort's leadership was brought on to create.

What's changed?

- New Hampshire (4 electoral votes) moves from "battleground" to "lean Democrat"
- Pennsylvania (20 electoral votes) moves from "battleground" to "lean Democrat"
- Virginia (13 electoral votes) moves from "battleground" to "lean Democrat"
That adds 37 more electoral votes to Clinton's total and puts her at 273 electoral votes -- just ahead of the needed 270 electoral votes to win the White House. Explore the map and make your

:snack: I cans ee why he doesn't want to disclose his tax returns or have an independent evaluation of his assets  Is he hiding something and/or lying?

Washington (AFP) - Companies belonging to Donald Trump have at least $650 million in debt, more than twice the amount shown in public filings made by his presidential campaign, the New York Times reported Saturday.

The paper employed a property information firm to search publicly available data on more than 30 US properties connected to the Republican candidate, including offices and golf courses.

In addition to the $650 million liabilities, "a substantial portion of his wealth is tied up in three passive partnerships that owe an additional $2 billion to a string of lenders," the Times said about debt that could significantly affect Trump's wealth.

The billionaire tycoon campaigns on what he says is his spectacularly successful real estate record, claiming to be worth $10 billion and citing his business acumen as his major qualification for the presidency.

However, he has dismissed mounting pressure even from within his own party to disclose his tax returns or allow an independent valuation of his assets.

Trump's campaign filings show his businesses owed at least $315 million, the Times noted, saying they appear to be accurate and that Trump was not required to disclose all of his business activities.

Although the paper does not accuse him of any wrongdoing, the investigation "underscored how much of Mr Trump’s business remains shrouded in mystery."

The probe "also found that Mr Trump’s fortunes depend deeply on a wide array of financial backers, including one he has cited in attacks during his campaign," the Times said.

His lenders include one of the largest banks in China -- which the Republican candidate accuses of being a US economic foe -- and the investment bank Goldman Sachs, which he says influences his Democratic White House rival Hillary Clinton.

As president, the Times said, Trump would be able to make decisions that would have a major influence on his business empire and net worth.
