I admit, I really didn't know who this guy Salami was and only heard of that other terrorist guy Bangadaddy a couple of times. So does that mean when the people who attacked our embassy and spray painted Salami's name on the walls as their leader and inspiration, does that mean he's a good guy? Ya know cuz I didn't know who he was?.....maybe you can explain his killings all through that region. ....is it really all lies? Who is provoking who? That is the beauty of a well funded, well built and high tech military. Unbelievable precise and strategic strikes that dramatically minimizes unnecessary deaths without stepping a foot on the ground. Some on here want to defund and dismantle our military. .... meanwhile Russia develops top notch Hypersonic missiles and Rocket man continues his advancement at nuclear. It is a good feeling....57 now and toying with the idea of working another 3 to 5 years. In 3 and a half years a new work contract is due, pension went up nearly 400 a month on last contract, so may stick around to see what new one may offer. And if I decide to go 5 , can collect SS early at the same time as pension for a little icing on the cake. But on the same token, I'd like to retire early enough to gobble up a nice chunk of the pension. Congrats on your retirement Irv! Never realized you worked with some members of this site Unfortunately, that was a chunk of my losses this year. Did well a couple years ago on the hype trading these but now got stuck on recent trades and they are all in the red in my portfolio. I think very few companies will make it in this field. A co-worker cashed out some of his 401k to buy dozens of these stocks.....Hit on AXIM that went from .20 something cents to almost 20 dollars in the matter of several weeks. He was up over 200k on a couple thousand dollars invested. But was a complete fool and held and it is now back to .30 +last time I checked.....he gave it all back. Agreed.....I held a few and will let ride as a lottery ticket but most likely will go bust Not sure about Canada but legal weed taxed way too high , black market still getting lions share of sales.

Actually lost quite a bit in the stock market this year but I do a lot of my own high risk trades that just didn't pan out this year. Other than that it was a great year....reached a milestone last April with my job in that I can retire with max pension at any given time but after counting it down for the last few years I got cold feet and have decided to work for a bit longer. Retirement scares me for some reason and I actually enjoy what I do, so dont see the point in leaving at this time. The job has now taken on a different dimension and more relaxed atmosphere knowing I can just pack it in whenever I feel the time is right. Im at the end of the tunnel but afraid to jump out.

His accomplishments are definitely admirable enough. But with all the crap he has endured these last 3 years and STILL wanting to serve a 2nd term?....hell yeah he has my admiration. Although Im starting to think he's insane for doing so.......the impeachment /media nonsense is/will be relentless.

I also plan to start drawing SS at 62. But unlike AkIQ, Im taking it early in anticipation of dying fairly young.....and figure it would take years to catch up on my early take if I wait for max . Plus the uncertainty if it will even exist years from now. I will be fortunate enough to live fairly comfortable between my pension and early draw on SS.

Yup.....look at the Flak he got for firing Comey and taking Brennans security clearance away. To say he hasn't already shacken things up in DC in a big way is lunacy. Hopefully it's only the start as well.

Doesn't explain why wages have grown even in States without the mandated increase. The bigger driving force is the high supply of jobs and lower pool of employees. ......workers now have a choice to leave a job for a higher paying one down the street. Employers are competing to keep their workforce.
