  1. howland me. 95 north the story and vid at wabitv5. it seems they were heading to the county sledding. when they may have hit a patch of ice on the over pass. a new white 2500 hd crew and enclosed trailer. he bounced her from one guard rail to the other then over the side she went a 20 odd ft drop. truck looks pretty well beat up one got hurt. speed limit there is 75. maybe it was ice or the trailer pushing the truck around
  2. a pal of mine was there yesterday. most of it is groomed a ft or more of snow. he said it was pretty good. he also got a ticket for modified exhaust. the trail can dosent cut it. the warden was at the parking lot got him just after unloading. the warden says to him your gonna have to rejet those carbs. his sled a 21 850 rmk
  3. i stopped in at a tohatsu dealer . he dose not stock anything over 150hp he caters to the lobster fishermen so he sells mostly under 20 hp for there skiffs to get to there big boat on a mooring. also said all there big motors are assembled by tohatsu using honda parts. the other story was honda had so much corrosion problems they went to tohatsu to solve them . talked to a merc dealer nothing in stock its order only lead time 1 to 6 months
  4. every one seems to be pushing suzuki or yamaha. talked to a dealer today that was approved as a yamaha dealer. that would make 5 in about 50 miles. suzuki dealer says they all have corrosion problems now but the Japanese motors more so than rude or mec. this would be in saltwater
  5. anyone have one? likes dislikes? i bought a 150 a while back it runs great just is not hp enough. any one know of a good used or new 225 or 250 25" shaft
  6. there is a 8 hr vid on you tube. as far as winterizing i did not see any keel coolers on that boat so they should have. the motors will be cooled by fresh water. antifreeze. and raw water will cool the reverse gear the after cooler if its diesel then the heat exchanger for the coolant. its pretty easy to winterize. close the sea cock remove the cover for the sea strainer and pour nontoxic antifreeze in while the motor is running till it comes out the exhaust
  7. and for the ford owners need parts? go to ford parts .com sign up pick a dealer put in your vin. i have a fleet account with the local dealer so i have not ordered parts off this site. but anyone can. it will show list and the discounted price. it will always beat napa or the others on price. i heard gm was going to do something like this also.
  8. picked up a set of bolt bitter sockets by gear wrench they work real good on rounded or rusty bolts and a set of vessel screwdrivers made in japan they are very bit as good as my snapon. all from napa
  9. i have a leather rxl jacket whats it worth to you?
  10. none sometimes i turn the fan on just to move some air when going slow. this is on my general i bought the polaris heater i installed it. also have a ranger with heat same thing. i looked at aftermarket heaters and said no. the polaris heater is made by mobile climate control
  11. look up buckin billy ray on you tube he has a merc truck he still drives every day
  12. none of the lights work? or some do? if you have fisher lights it should have been just plug them in. did the new lites work when first installed?
  13. first off how new is it? the intensfire lights with the bulbs that are $20 each? or the old style? there will be a isloation module usually its laying on the fender liner drivers side. that runs the lights and the lift angle and it multiplex for the lift. it means it runs several things over the same wire. the older plows used relays thats why i asked how old it is. where they tap into the head lite wires a lot use the scotch clips. not the best idea. sometimes its the truck side plug where it plugs into the plow. the $20 bulbs do not last long i buy several every winter
  14. if its a ascert cat no. and everyone hates a 10 sp if its really a 8 ll they are good. parts can be hard to come by cab parts anyway
  15. i have a new england trails gps unit for my sxs they have them for sleds also. it works pretty good. its a garmin referb with there mapping
  16. latest fun project. replace a bosch cp4 in one of my 6.7 fords. the roller on the cam follower turns then its all over. it makes little metal flakes. then its replace pump injectors fuel lines rails sensors everything forward of the filter
  17. almost all of the gas diesel fuel and heating oil in the northeast came from irving
  18. if you are saying irving gas came from Saudi it did not the crude oil did and was refined in st john nb. i have been through that refinery
  19. first year of the push button reverse was 2004. i bought one new. that one i had was trouble free and so was the 06
  20. my snap on dealer gave me some snap on socks they are not bad
  21. 99 % chance the gas you buy was refined by irving oil dosent matter what it says on the pump some of the crude to make that gas came from alberta
  22. shows what you know. not much. most mills are making food grade paper and cardboard
  23. not to well. ever since the big money investors started buying the paper mills. like verso and a few others. sappi from south Africa is doing ok along with nine dragons from china they own 2 mills. when the digester blew up in jay we lost 25% of our pulp market and its not coming back
  24. the original frink snow plow was started by carl frink in new york state. i have several of there 11ft dustpans. the newer plows are everst american. as far as carbide edges all my trucks plow town roads and i prefer to not be changing edges every couple storms. with carbide a set of edges on the plow may go most of the winter while changing the wings edges 4 times
  25. if you plow on pavement buy carbide cutting edges. they are pricy but will last a long time. that frink is old they went out years ago . now its everest. they made very good plows. i had a 9 ft like yours. i bought a new everst 10ft reverse a trac 4 yrs ago for 1800. list was over 7k just the plow no head gear. the company had been sold and the new owner wanted all the old stock gone. if you want a plow to scrape raise the push arm height that will put a bit of down pressure on it
