Nailed it. We have a holding unit for those waiting to be sent to skilled nursing facilities and there aren't any available. They've backed up into the rest of the hospital and occupy beds that the more acute patients need causing us to divert sick patients to other facilities that are likely experiencing the same issues.

Best thing to happen would be for him to shut up and go away!

My kids are both 20 now, but we struggled with some of this when they were younger. My daughter has some scars on her shoulder where she did some cutting. My son has some significant scars on parts of his body. He is remorseful about it now, but the evidence remains. He's got a couple of tattoos to cover 2 of the more severe areas. Both will say they got in with the wrong crowd, and that is true, but I think it was kind of a trendy thing for awhile. It's a lot more widespread than many people realize. I once took care of a girl in the ER that had done some deep cutting and sewed some of them back together with heavy black cord. Also took care of 12 and 14 year old sisters who had both overdosed on the same night. Lots of dysfunction going on that never gets out. Keep an eye on them and support them.

Used to listen to, and watch Pulse by Pink Floyd hooked up to surround sound with my brother's old Omega cabinet speakers. He also had a nice OLD Sony system where we'd listen to The Wall, Back in Black, anything Zeppelin, and Black Sabbath with some solo Ozzy mixed in. The Sound of Bread, Boston, Foreigner, Queen, Journey, Triumph... He had a hell of a vinyl collection but not sure what happened to it. So much good music!

Go to Berchtesgaden if you get the chance, gorgeous. Also, if you make it there, go to the Kehlsteinhaus, otherwise known as the Eagle's Nest. It was Hitler's Alpine retreat. Dachau concentration camp is definitely worth seeing also. Not very close to Berlin though. It's a beautiful country.

The 1st Minnesota Infantry Regiment at Gettysburg The 1st Minnesota Infantry performed one of the most critical actions of the battle during Longstreet’s Assault of July 2nd. Sickles’ Corps was falling back in disarray. Longstreet’s men were advancing to penetrate the center of the Union line, which had been dangerously thinned to prop up other sectors. General Hancock rode up to the 1st Minnesota, the only organized Union troops at hand, pointed at the advancing Confederates, and ordered them to “Take those colors!” Their sacrificial charge against overwhelming odds halted the Confederate advance. It bought desperately needed time for the center of the Union line to reform. The result was that Lee was forced into one last desperate gamble the next day with Pickett’s Charge. The regiment entered the field 420 strong. Company L’s 32 men served as skirmishers and Company C’s 56 men were detached on July 2. Colonel William Colvill, an attorney and newspaper owner from Red Wing, led the men into action. He was wounded during the July 2 charge. Captain Nathan Messick took over command only to be killed the next day during the repulse of Pickett’s Charge. Captain Wilson B. Farrell briefly took over until he was also killed. Finally Captain Henry C. Coates took over command for the rest of the battle. Used to work for a dealership and we would go to many of them. Started with Haydays (godforsaken hot in that tent when you're hungover), then Grayslake, Milwaukee, and Novi, MI. Can't remember the actual order of them. Did the MN Convention Center a couple of times too. Had a blast working them and met a lot of great people. Even closed some deals by throwing a beer in. Only show I've gone to since has been Haydays and that's even been awhile. Used to be a lot of deals, non-current clothing, studs, helmets, those were our big sellers. Internet has definitely changed things. Got to meet some of the old (now) snocrossers like Morgan, Vincent, Eckstom, Malinoski, Martin. It was a lot of fun back in the day.
