  1. Thought cat actually announced something new but then see it is not from cat at all.....
  2. So it's only twice as strong as starbucks then.
  3. Kwik Trip coffee is only a buck and miles better than that bitter tasting overpriced starbucks shit. That's why starbucks customers are drinking cups of coffee flavored syrups.

  5. The best thing cat could do for the sledding industry as a whole is reset the pricing model. Poo used to be competitive on pricing but with the introduction of the new chassis and other updates just followed Doo with their price points. If Cat/Textron could find a way to do this it would benefit everyone and would help their sales by a significant margin. They attempted to do this a few seasons back by dropping warranties but it failed due to not having a modern chassis and competitive engine offerings (other than the 998). It was just the same old shit with somewhat lower prices.
  6. Here's my guess. Base starting price of an Indy VR1 650 is $15,299. That price will likely go up a couple of bucks for 2024. Starting price of a catalyst 600? At least $14,999. For Cat to get any excitement and draw riders that have already been running competitors modern sleds for at least a decade? Price it at $13K bare bones and then add on for e-start a windshield and optional tracks. that would take it to no more than $15K.
  7. With this sled Cat should do what others have done in the past with a brand new platform. Either ship every dealer a demo sled for prospective buyers to ride or if they cannot produce enough of them then just ship the sleds they do have from dealer to dealer. The logistics in that are not difficult at all and it gives buyers a much better chance to find a dealer within an hour or two at most to get a decent demo ride in. I have gone to a couple of the large organized events in the past and while it's better than nothing you really cannot get much of a feel riding something on a closed course for a couple of minutes and after standing in line.
  8. The catalyst gets them on par in most areas chassis wise but I highly doubt it's going to get ahead of rMotion. It's only a 600 and that's just fucking lame no matter how many "800" parts it contains. They are so far behind in the engine game it's fucking pathetic and they still will be when everyone is riding in the year 2024. The gauge package is a joke and the dildo size seat is great if you are into that sort of thing. No, it's not going to sell anywhere near the numbers that dumfuckstad thinks they will. Cat, or really Textron, still needs to get their heads out of their asses and decide if they want to lead or continue to try to just keep up. I am not sure anything coming out these days is great for sledders regardless of the letters on the hood. Sure, much of it is high tech gadgetry but it all comes and a ridiculous price for what you get and then there are the shitty and short riding seasons that makes me wonder why anyone will shell out $20-30 grand for a new sled, accessories and gear.
  9. I always had 600's prior to moving to 4 stroke's - mainly because 800's had such shitty track records for reliability in those days. My brother always had 800's so I am comparing Etec to Etec. With both of us riding the same trails at the same speeds we both put nearly the same amount of gas in the tank when stopping to fill up. He would maybe put in 1/2 to 3/4 gallon more than me on average. Now that 800's/850's have become just as reliable as 600's there is zero reason to buy a 600 in my opinion and especially not for fuel economy purposes. The worst thing about my 600's was always feeling like I was having to push them to the ragged edge vs anyone that was riding an 800. If I were to go back to two stroke I would not be buying a 600.
  10. Traction is the limiting factor in any discussion about racing and more HP just means more traction issues specifically when riding where normal people ride bone stock sleds. As for the yamacat being reliable. I've known plenty of people that have had plenty of issues with their tuned yamacats. The engine is great the drive train, not so much. More HP = more issues with everything getting it to the snow. The Boost looks pretty fucking quick in that drag racing video which is what people do. They hardly race them for miles on end....
  11. Does anybody even know how much a catalyst 600 is going to cost? The best thing cat could do for themselves (and their faithful) is price that fucking late to the party sled by a minimum of 20% less than the competition. If it's the same price as the 650 poo or 600 doo it's going to take exactly zero market share away from them. There is a lot of talk about this "new" 600, with an 800 crank, but the rental vr1 650 in our group was surprisingly fast across kevlar lake. Of course the only problem it suffered was typical poo quality.
  12. Doo - flatland turbo smoker and bng's Poo - fire extinguishers as standard accessories Cat - possibility that the catalyst 600 will actually be available for order Yam - middle finger to the sledding world
  13. It's because every lazy leftist fuck is sitting on their ass waiting for more free handouts. Jeebus you are fucking stupid.
  14. Is that all? Dumstad has been watching it non-stop since they posted it.
  15. Lester reviews. Had to fast forward because all I kept hearing was "don't even worry about it" too many times. In a nutshell, first edition stickers make the sled. Plastic running boards are awesome, 600 is all the power anyone ever needs.... so don't even worry about it. Hopefully they can get them to buyers in time for next season.
  16. Not at all. He's just a shit for brains talking absolute shit. You just go ahead and make some more excuses for all of his total bullshit and then try to say you just need to understand the context. Um, I can hear what he is saying and it's complete and utter bullshit. But then again if pigs could fly I could have my own personal air force. If only water was gasoline I could power my car with it. Maybe if my dog shit solid gold bricks, instead of shit, I could end world hunger. The context is he is a complete narcissistic shit for brains asshole.
  17. He is absolutely shit for brains for making any of the statements he did in that fucking video. Making excuses for this fuck stick is even more ridiculous.
  18. If you are looking based on price there is nothing wrong with the XS. Just make sure the shocks are not clapped out.
  19. There are actually fuck jobs defending this shit for brains? Did you actually watch the fucking video? Go to 10:58. This absolutely shit for brains actually wished it was more deadly so he could have been proven right. He says, and this is verbatim: "In some sense we got unlucky at how benign this was" How fucking evil and narcissistic to you have to be to wish this killed a shit ton more people just so his censorship could have been some sort of service to humanity. What a total fuck stick.
  20. I had test ridden the Poo a couple of seasons back when it first came out but this was first time to try out the VR1 650. Not bad (pretty fast for a 600 class) but I still don't see what all the fuss is about. It still has typical Poo quality (the same quality I deal with in the other Poo products I currently own) and while the plastics are nice and shiny it's the fact that Poo still short cuts all of the basic stuff to save money. When the throttle iced up, which is did several times, the cable attachment at the flipper is a fucking joke and just came right off. I mean, I haven't seen a throttle cable ice up and stick for over 25 years. It's shit like this that will keep me away from their sleds. Hopefully next season I can ride the 15 year holdouts new Catalyst and see what all of that fuss is really about. That is if any of them actually get delivered next season.
  21. Exactly right. The Doo rider was getting into the required position to make the corner without getting off the sled. The Poo rider was watching a review of the new Catalyst on that fancy gauge. On a brighter note. We rode for a few days last week. Almost pushed the trip as we were arriving Wed and all the forecasts kept saying an inch or two. Thankfully the snow came and we had a great time. Thursday was just fantastic. Almost keep forgetting how much more fun sledding is when snow is involved in snowmobiling. We thought Friday would still be ok and rode through insayner just to see how things were stacking up. What a fucking shitshow that was already. Headed as far South and East as we could on Saturday and Sunday. Was a great trip overall. I only had to come to a complete stop one time and watch an asshat going way to fast sliding straight towards me on a sharp turn. By some luck of all holy snow gods his carbides finally caught something other than the glare ice and he managed to get on his side just prior to impact. It was a miracle. The only issue we had all trip was our token Texan on a VR1 rental had the throttle ice up and stick several times on Thursday. I guess Poo's hate actual snow on the trails. We also had some great news that the last Cat diehard holdout may actually upgrade his 07' to a Catalyst for next season. That will be awesome because he is hunting for gas when the rest of us still have half a tank left...... It's all fun.
  22. You can have $50K in income and your AGI is less than $25K when married filing jointly. There are also other credits they qualify for that lowers that number even further. They are 82 years old and live very comfortably on that income with zero debt. They own a 4500sq. ft. home on 1/2 acre. Don't travel anymore and their expenses are minimal. They actually still save money based on their investments.
  23. Sweet. My parents will be happy to hear they may be getting a couple grand thanks to all those hard working Minnesotan's. Overall it's not been a bad move for them retiring there. WI does not tax Social Security but they stay below the income threshold so it is still not taxed in MN. They also have much lower property taxes than WI. A comparable home would cost them at least another $5K in property taxes vs what they pay now.
