Dug through some stuff and didn't find what I was looking so for. I've always adjusted them as being 2 separate adjustments. Basically hold one in position while adjusting the other. Started by turning the outside(high speed) knob all the way in until it stops, then the the inside Low speed all the way in until it stops. Hold the inside stationary and turn the outside knob out X-number of clicks, then hold the outside knob and turn the low speed knob out X-number of click. Haven't been able to find a "This is how its done" from Polaris of Walker Evans but that's the way I've always done it. The low speed is a needle that adjust flow like a needle jet on a carb. The high speed changes pre-load on the shim stack inside the Hi-Lo adjuster assemble.

You'll need to hold the inner know by hand when adjusting the outer knob. If both turn you the adjusted both settings

Been through contract negotiations once. I was on the company side and if you kept some amount of respect and civil conversation you made progress. If either side didn't it was a shit show and no process was made. As far as the OP. HRS has just chose not to participate in any threads.

It's not defending any position. When people disagree here 96.5% (or more) of what is posted here would never be said one on one in person. Picture yourself talking one on one in person. You can still not agree which is fine but you either walk away and agree to disagree or fold your tail between your legs and just walk away. Not on a forum. The keyboard just gets the shit kicked out of it for no constructive reason.

Guys that are not running a shim under the needle bearing may want to check their clutch. Just pulled this clutch apart to clean it and the clutch is starting to get chatter marks where the bearing ride. This one did not have a shim between the bearing and clutch. Sled had about 1800 miles on.
