  1. <update> A judge just applied the brakes on the plan to exonerate Flynn: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/us-judge-puts-on-hold-justice-dept-move-to-dismiss-michael-flynns-guilty-plea-to-hear-outside-groups-challenges/ar-BB13ZTLf
  2. Yes, Yamaha had a big hand in creating the car and supplying the power for the 2000GT. Toyota's Satoru Nozaki is responsible for the design. A few years ago, I spent an afternoon getting a tour of a local guy's car collection. At the time had had a bunch of 2000GTs, some Lambos, some Ferraris (including a Dino), an original Shelby Cobra, a Ford GT40, and countless other exotics.
  3. I'm using a laptop at the moment, so some of the details in the drawings are pretty clear. If the wands in row 2 are not the same as the ones in row 1, however, I'd like to change my answer.
  4. New episodes of Cops are shown Monday nights on Paramount. They're still catching "bad boys."
  5. In reality, there are plenty of students on both sides of the aisle. Kids who have Republican parents tend to adopt their parents' conservative beliefs, and kids who have Democrat parents tend to adopt progressive beliefs. As a result, I'm not surprised videos like this exist. BTW, the cheer-only-for-our-side mentality works both ways. There are Youtube videos of the opposite of what you posted -- people cheering for Trump stuff until they find out Obama said it, for example. Here's one of the more famous ones. Unfortunately, this 16-second version has been cut short so you can't hear how the crowd turned against the kid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EN6WH5fT3Co
  6. What kind of speeds were the racers hitting?
  7. From one fan of racing to another, I have a serious question: If Cat shuts down its racing program, why would you stop riding a brand that does everything you want it to do? You've had no complaints about your Cat. I'm curious about the connection between Cat's race program and your own riding. Are you worried that race technology would cease to filter down to consumer sleds? (<--That seems like a legit reason.) Polaris has had lots of podium success in snocross, cross-country, and hillcross over the last decade, but if Polaris cut all racing programs tomorrow, I would not trade my IQR for another brand or tell my son to sell his Assault 800 and his Assault 850 in order to buy a couple of Doos.
  8. For the first time in over thirty years of working for the same company, I'm not getting a federal tax refund. Instead, I have to issue a big check to the U.S. government. As a result, there is no way in hell I'm donating money to any federal causes.
  9. I think Team 10 (Morgan and Olds; Polaris) just won for the second year in a row.
  10. Thanks for sharing the process. With that being said, the only way one side or the other will be able to say "I told you so" is if the whole report is released to the public. If that happens, there will be less ammunition to debate whether collusion occurred or not. IMO, a redacted or edited report will do nothing to lessen the current debate.
  11. For the sake of accuracy, Trevor Lawrence did not say that. It's a fake quote. https://www.si.com/college-football/2019/01/15/trevor-lawrence-clarifies-comments-clemson-white-house-visit https://ftw.usatoday.com/2019/01/clemson-qb-trevor-lawrence-white-house-fast-food-fake-quote-twitter-response-reaction-trump
  12. You sound like someone who is trying to come to grips with a loss. You can call me a poser, but IMO, the shootout is the best way to judge the manufacturers against each other. The shootout reflects what the companies put out, not how good a tuner is. If you want to brag that your highly modified sled can beat my stock one, good for you . . . but your win happened because of what you did, not what Cat did, for example.
  13. My question is sort of related to the topic: Why are gas prices high and getting higher? I have not read about any fires at refineries or any shortages of supplies, so why are gas prices up approximately 30% from where they were not too long ago?
  14. Yes, China is powerful and potentially dangerous. Yesterday , the Wall Street Journal had an interesting editorial about the immediate effects of China's retaliation to new tariffs. One example mentioned in the article: Alcoa, the biggest producer of aluminum in America, is likely to lose the equivalent of almost 20% of the profits it made during all of last year.
  15. Impact Festival in July -- Avenged Sevenfold, Prophets of Rage, Corrosion of Conformity, Black Label Society, Three Days Grace, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Anthrax, Slayer Also in July -- Radiohead
  16. As some of you have figured out, my math was wrong. If you work 40 hours a week for fifty weeks, you make $90 per hour, not $100. (That's 2000 hours a year, not 1800.) I'd like to be able to blame my mistake on thinking about things like flex time and six or seven weeks of vacation per year, but that's not what happened. I divided wrong.
  17. I'm more of a lurker than a regular poster, but I couldn't resist commenting because I am thoroughly impressed with your salary. 180K is $100 per hour if you work fifty weeks a year. Your salary is WAY above the national average. (See attached chart.) One of my close friends is a longtime industrial electrician for a well-known Maine company, and he makes a third of what you do. That makes sense, though, because Maine is on the low end of the scale when it comes to salaries. At least the cost of living is cheap here . . .
  18. IMPACT FESTIVAL featuring Avenged Sevenfold Prophets of Rage Marilyn Manson Rob Zombie Powerman 5000 Three Days Grace Slayer Corrosion of Conformity Anthrax Black Label Society Last summer I saw Tool for the third time. If they finally release a new album and go on tour later this year, I'll see them again. I also have Radiohead tickets for a summer show.
  19. I've only read about one incident, and it turns out the rear shock was defective. (The owner posts on HCS.) Have you seen a bunch of other reports? If so, where?
