  1. When a woman tells you not to park in front of her gas pump you should listen, or so it seems
  2. So you're obviously a socialist where everyone including those too lazy to work are ENTITLED to a substantial handout from those that work. Their unemployment rate is currently at 3.4% which is an enviable percentage compared to many others.
  3. Using Justin Trudeau as an indicator of the level of stupidity of voters whoever wins in the U.S. can obviously be an equally stupid choice.
  4. They would still need a bureaucracy to administer the program and the bureaucracy would likely increase due to the increased number of people drawing from it. The program was not just for the unemployed but also those that earned less would be topped up. The nice part of their system is that the government HAS to listen to the people. You get a referendum to the people and the government has no choice but to implement the results of the referendum.
  5. Like they say... Lest we forget. There has been a lot of TV coverage of it lately so hopefully we never do forget.
  6. There we have it again that anger and hatred. You just can't help yourself. Somewhere along the way you must have been abused traumatized or something to cause you to be so angry. As for my life... It's actually better than an awful lot of other people in this world. I feel eel sorry for those who have to resort to being intoxicated to say they had a good time
  7. Zoso or whatever he chooses to call himself will never change. The pent up anger contempt and hatred for just about everyone is just who he is.
  8. Maybe Trudeau Wynnebag or perhaps even Killer could give him a hug.
  9. I don't know about the trails you are referring to in particular however there are some roads I know of that are closed to vehicle aka car traffic in winter and they aren't private but public roads. They put up signs at each end saying road closed during winter. It is however used as a snowmobile trail. I have been told that the OPP can charge you for driving on a closed road and that there are apparently insurance implications for knowingly driving on a closed road.
  10. Most good stories start with some fool saying. Hey everybody watch this
  11. Some trails are multi use trails and if you're on one of those multi use trails you really need to be on the look out for other users. Right or wrong, if snowmobilers don't respect the right of others to be on the trail and their safety I don't imagine it will be long before that multi use trail is closed to snowmobiles. I know when I see people out on one of these trails, often as a family or with their dog I slow right down and give them a wide berth as I pass. They appreciate it and wave. Then I see others that fly past without moving over or slowing down. They throw chunks of snow from their tracks at the people and usually get the finger from the people. To slow down for the seconds it takes to pass other users of the trail is just the right thing to do.
  12. My high school English teacher was incredibly hot and had a habit of sitting on the edge of her desk. She always wore very short skirts
  13. Good luck... you have a dog with an affinity for water. Having anything but a soggy dog can be a challenge. We used to camp on a water front site in Six Mile Lake PP years ago. We would open the RV door in the morning and our Golden, Billy would look at us and look at the lake then look at us and look at the lake. We would say okay and he was off like a shot to go "cruising" He also liked to clear the shoreline of rocks. He'd stick his head under water, the bubbles would be coming up and then his head would pop up with a rock the size of a grapefruit in his mouth. He'd drop it on shore then go looking for another one. We would go out in the boat and anchor for the afternoon. If we were in the water he had to be as well.
  14. Anything is only worth what someone is willing to pay and if they aren't the price will drop. We haven't had a mortgage in almost 30 years. The amount of debt I see some of the younger people that I worked with would have scared the heck out of me. But then it seems an awful lot of these "first time" home buyers want what it took their parents a lifetime to get and they want it now. These first time buyers homes are 2100+ sq. ft. five appliances, 2+ bathrooms, granite counter tops, finished basements, 2 car garages and landscaped yards. I know I'm getting old but in my day that was not what was considered a starter home. Going back to when my parents bought their house the typical new house, a garage was optional, the driveway was gravel, the yard was dirt. You broke up the dirt and spread grass seed. Much like just about everyone on the street in the new sub-division they hung bed sheets in the windows while they saved to buy draperies etc. Many years later they had what their kids want now.
  15. Wife texts her handy husband on a cold winter morning: "WINDOWS FROZEN ~ WON'T OPEN" Husband texts back: "GENTLY POUR SOME LUKEWARM WATER OVER THE EDGES AND THEN TAP EDGES SHARPLY WITH HAMMER" Wife texts back 5 minutes later: "LAPTOP REALLY BUGGERED NOW!!
  16. Sure did... late 20's early 30's. Same ethnic background as almost everyone in the neighbourhood.
  17. Our neighbour called a real estate agent about listing their house. He made an appointment to come see them the next day. He brought a buyer with him who ended up buying for more than they were going to list for that same day. Apparently he and his wife had lost out on two other homes and they wanted in this neighbourhood
  18. Two 2015 Cat ZR 7000 El Tigre.
  19. Dogs are good for what ails you. Not so good for the lawn but that is unimportant. No b matter how bad it was at work the wagging tail with the tennis ball in the mouth as you came through the door made the bad day a distant memory
  20. If Billy's tumor was operable it would have been done. Regrettably it wasn't. My wife is the supreme animal lover. Easter weekend two years ago we had to rush her horse to the University of Guelph for emergency surgery for a pendiculated intestine. They removed 28 ft. The surgery was $12K and over the course of the summer follow up vet bills, medications etc. it totaled out at $19K. He's 25 and he gets more attention than I do. She was out riding Wednesday.

They probably hope someone will just automatically pay it. I had similar with our data centre. During the latter part of the construction phase we had 10 copper phone lines put in for voice communications until we had our VOIP system up and running. We cancelled 8 of them leaving 2. One for emergency

They probably hope someone will just automatically pay it. I had similar with our data centre. During the latter part of the construction phase we had 10 copper phone lines put in for voice communications until we had our VOIP system up and running. We cancelled 8 of them leaving 2. One for emergency if the VOIP failed and one for the fire system. It was probably about a year later that we started getting phone bills for the cancelled lines and almost a year after that calls from a collection agency. We ordered fibre to be run in. A guy shows up from Bell to terminate the fibre. It wasn't run into the building yet. Did nobody tell you the fibre hadn't been run yet.... No. A week later another guy shows up to test the circuits that the guy was supposed to terminate a week earlier. Did nobody tell you the fibre still isn't in the building and that the guy couldn't terminate it a week ago..... No. It's amazing they are still in business.
  23. We had a golden retriever for just short of 15 years. He went out to do his business and his back legs gave out. He couldn't stand up. My wife and I took him to the vet. He had a tumor that we couldn't see. It was as you said so hard having him put down and leaving there without him. A member of our family was gone. We both cried a lot.
  24. One of the hazards of using an Ipad over a windows O/S. Vast majority of the world is and will always be using a windows based system. The only reason I have or use an Ipad is it was free
