  1. why 2 layers of drywall? why not blue board or cement board?
  2. Fenlon to kinmount is a quick 45min run for chineese in kinmount. The branch trail over to the 420 is a real whoop de do. some nice hills to catch air on
  3. wow how funny, i also saw the breaker bar and said that could replace my current breaker bar that i use with i pipe over it to lengthen it. a mechanic at work mentioned it also. this must be what girls do when they see a great price on nail polish LOL i also looked at the 1/2" tq wrench as a back up. and the portable battery pac. you should see how excited the boys in the back get when the princess auto flyer shows up. is this what happens when you get old...john wayne movies, naps on the couch and automotive flyers, no wonder why Trump got elected
  4. Best looking and best coached 28th place team out there. wait till the end of the season
  5. Big learning curve both in running a retail business and transmission business. but cars are coming in and people are leaving happy. When the lake freezes I will bring my sled to work and we can ride after work for a bit
  6. does he have a vessel permit?
  7. how long do yo intend to stay in the house
  8. like said above. compression test, look at the jet drive for rocks or a damaged prop. look underneath at the jet intake for debris. any cracks underneath in the hull. look inside the hill for water or oil under the motor. put it on a hose and run it for 5 min to heat it up to operating temp to see if any sensors go off or it overheats or makes any funny noises. seasons over, get a low price
  9. I take over on Friday, i'll check next week
  10. Thanks, steep learning curve. but they are closed sundays so I can still sled
  11. Or you could have brought it to me and one of my very experienced tech's could have done the work... I just bought the Mister Transmission in Newmarket, I will give FS'ers a good discount

this place is a ghost town, where did everybody go...
  13. its 2'" and I have a 2 inch ball. the issue with the trailer is side to side sway. I can feel it in the truck, i'm constantly making steering corrections. when I look in my mirrors I see the end of the trailer wandering around side to side. it was breezy out, and the trailer has big slab sides, but it should not affect it like that. I'm getting trailer wheel alignment checked.
  14. it is a used R &R. it has torsion axles. I prefer leaf springs in towing trailers. I will try the lower tongue height and see what happens
  15. so I bought an 18' plus a 5'"V" x 7 foot wide. easily holds 3 can hold 4 in a pinch. I must say this thing tows like shit. it was empty and I drove home and at 120kph this thing wiggles around and I'm constantly making steering corrections. my 5000 lbs boat tows better at 120 kph than this sled trailer. the sled trailer feels like my old 6000 lbs boat trailer at 110 kph. my 2 place clam shell with 2 heavy sled in it tows better at 140 kph than the new sled trailer empty at 120. the new trailer is aluminum and weights empty 2200 lbs. I have a 2 inch drop ball on it. I will try a 4 inch drop hitch ball to lower the front and see if that reduces the sway. at speed my rpms are where it is when I pull my 8.5' wide trailer, I don't see where it is easier to tow?
  16. these trailer are so expensive. I was holding out for all aluminum. found an old style triton 4 place covered, the problem is the top is faded. I don't know if I could paint it or wrap it. don't want to spend more than a grand to wrap or paint. I'm on the fence to buy it now cheaply or wait till October ish to see what else comes on the market. but then I could run the risk of paying more... but I also need the storage now...
  17. sorry, can someone move this to the general forum...
  18. I have a 4 stroke atv question. when someone tells you that the atv is burning oil, is there a quick way to see if it needs piston rings or a valve job? I was looking at buying a project atv. he said that it burns oil... for me it is easy to change out rings, I don't have a lot experience with heads and valves. what is a quick way to determine which it is? thanks
  19. I haven't been trailer shopping, fuck man are these expensive. and there is nothing in the used market. I will have to wait till sept or oct, when people start to trade in or sell. I did find a few in the us. older 4 place aluminum covered, with gull wings at either end. almost like a stretched trition aluminum like in the pictures above in the other post 8.5x20 but at $1.35 conversion, it is not a deal anymore
  20. I have always had galvanized or aluminum trailers. I was looking at a few that had steel frames(undercarriage) how long before it rots? one guy said that he had to weld in a patch on a steel frame. another guy said he sand blasted the underside and paints it with rust paint. is it worth it to wait for aluminum?
  21. do you have a v nose on top of the 23'
  22. hey guys what is the smallest enclosed trailer that will fit 3 - 136" sleds or 3 atv what is the smallest enclosed trailer that will fit 4 sleds or 4 atv's what is better aluminum or steel trailers?
  23. no codes come up on the dash, P105 or some other number. or lights on the icons, put your hand there to block the sun maybe you cant see the light going on. call a seadoo dealer and ask. they will probably say bring it in and they can scan it. do you loose power or does it go into limp mode?
