old indy
Yup most of us dont like being set up but that first cop in the clip went out of his way to intimidate that guy. he should face disciplinary action for it. imo Here three complaints against the same officer brings with it consequences for a reason, a very good reason. Its part of his job to separate these things.

IF that was all he did no. this cop followed him down the street fer christ sakes. thats harassment plain and simple. he went out of his way to intimidate instead of answering a simple question FUCK HIM. and yes i would say all this to his face without hesitation. btdt did it help me then no but thats not the point is it.? or should i have just typed WHOOOOOSH

The cops for not accepting a complaint, but the people filming are making it difficult by not stating their case. If you're going into a police station to complain about an injustice by the officers, why be so difficult and cunty? Fake news, next. You should be able to walk into a police station and ask for a complaint form without being questioned, end of story..

Would I, yes but by law you do not have to identify yourself unless you have done something wrong. The problem with giving your name is the high probability that officer hard-on will look up you and figure out what happened to you to so an effort can be made to obfuscate your complaint before it ever gets brought to the attention of the appropriate person/department who handles complaints. At the end of the day you should be able to just walk into a police station and get the requested complaint form and either mail it or deliver it to the proper authority that handles police complaints, without being questioned who, why's, etc.
revkevsdi
2 hours ago, DAVE said: Again...why so hard to just show the guy ID... You keep asking that question. Would you really be stupid enough to show an aggressive cop your ID if you didn't have to? The cop was trying to scare the guy away from making a complaint. He wanted his id so he could look him up and warn a possible arresting officer that someone might be filing a complaint. Notice how easy it was at the stations that had a form to fill out? There should be a system in place where you fill out a form, that goes to the local station, and a copy to a central location so that it can't get buried. I'm sure the reporter set the cops up with his attitude before the clip started but cops should be able to handle it. What if it was a women who'd been raped by a cop. She wouldn't have wanted to tell that cop in the middle of the hallway. Specially if he acted the way the cop that chased the guy down the street did. It does seem from the video that many of the cops were simply assholes however, sometimes these video's can be taken out of context if the whole interaction isn't seen. Doesn't seem to be the case here. The first cop following him out the station and down the street should lose his job immediately. AG was right the attitude to protect their own no matter what is a problem in many Union groups. 20 minutes ago, Mileage Psycho said: The problem with giving your name is the high probability that officer hard-on will look up you and figure out what happened to you to so an effort can be made to obfuscate your complaint before it ever gets brought to the attention of the appropriate person/department who handles complaints. That is not disruptive in anyway. The fact that he was intimidated by each of those cops speaks volumes. And your right in a free society. You should not be harassed for practicing your rights. If a cop wants to fuck with you or harass you in the future its good for them to know where you live and your name. Dont think it doesnt happen. Like someone else here mentioned, if you are there to file a complaint about another officer dont think they are above protecting their brother by discrediting you real quick. These jackboots are so arrogant they dont even think to wonder if they could be recorded. Happens all the time FYI...
