This is what's going on with the z28. People can't live with them.

We were alerted to this astounding fact byfriend-of-R&T Bozi Tatarevic, who noticed a handful of Z/28s listed for under $40,000 on a dealer auction site. One Z/28 with nearly 13,000 miles is listed for $35,000 and another with just 952 miles has a $36,000 asking price.

But don't fret if you don't have access to dealer auctions—a quick search on Cars.com reveals a number of Z/28s listed for well under $45,000. There's even one for sale in Pennsylvania with 762 miles on its odometer for $50,000.

So why is the Z/28 so cheap? Perhaps it's because these cars don't make great daily drivers. All the things that make the Z/28 so excellent on track—sticky tires, aggressive suspension setup, a stripped-out interior, and that low splitter—cause lots of problems on the road.

And at the end of the day, this is a Camaro that costs Corvette money. We don't see that as a problem, but you can imagine that potential buyers would. This is a car you have to be in-the-know to truly appreciate. In related news, Top Gear's Chris Harris just imported one to the UK.

We're just curious to see if the Z/28depreciates any further. It's a bargain where it stands right now.

Its a track car. If you watched the video of the ZL1 he basically says it rides like shit on bumpy roads because it has an F1 type racing suspension. It has zero bushing or rubber suspension components. The Z28 is made for the track, not the road. Consumers are dumb.

So GM owners are dumb. The buy a car "better" than the GT350, then realize they can't live with it.

Met a guy a few months ago with a new 5.0. Said he just traded his less than 1 year old Camaro on it. Just could not live with it day to day. Mustang was much better he said.

That's why ford makes a base gt350 that's slower then a camero ss
