ordered two registration stickers and trail passes today to the tune of $120 for two of four sleds.

did I just make another donation to the WI DNR or will I be able to rack up some miles this winter?

:dunno: but I'm sure someone might get more mileage out of this than me if mother nature and/or climate change fucks us again... 9_9

cue the tard in 3,  2,  1...

$111 for 3 years in MN.  3 sleds so far.

elaborate

WI reg is for two years

trail pass is annual ($30 per sled) as I'm not a club member but spend three to five hunny a year supporting club raffles.

I've won a SnoJet beanie I gave to a buddies grandson so basically batting 0/several thousand :)

MN trail pass/registration is $111 for 3 years.

We now have larger trail stickers, but smaller then they used to be.

The amount of vain fuckers on MNTR is retardedly high.  Your wrap looks like shit already, just put the damn sticker on.

so... one sticker covers everything for three years?  where is it required to be placed?  still have to put regi numbers on the hood or cowling?

I'm itching for a fight in court if possible here as I refuse to put them on my windshield or forward plastics per their 'suhgestion'.  last DNR Warden I encountered refused to write me a ticket after showing him the current decals on the tunnel.  😁

The granular vaginitis on there is hard to take at times.

When I do interact on there, which is increasingly rare, I just tell people to go to the Norf Shore and move on with it.

Trails open in Vermont on Monday.

Dragging my Sleds up to my Dads place this weekend to settle in. But we will be riding Monday most likely they already have snow where he is.

no separate trail pass?  nothing on the windshield you might change for conditions or break?  if you have machines with the same cowlings can you move them from machine to machine?  I plan to shoot many holes in their logic.  :)

Used to be separate but was combined a number of years ago.

Well you Guys have it cheap. I paid for VT and NH already as I do every year.

VT VAST trail pass is $185

NH Reg is $161.

Haven't had a year yet I did not get to ride either state so well worth the $ IMO.  :dunno:

Yeah the rain coming blows for sure. My Pops place is in NEK 1 mile from the border so we should be good around there for a quick blast hopefully. If not park the trailer for the winter and drive the truck to the bar instead. :guzzle:

both states?

lot of folks around these parts register the sled one state (they might live in) and purchase trail passes for WI &/or MI

my brothers sled (who lives in RI) registers his sled and gets a trail pass for WI and only rides here.

I'm not necessarily interested in 'cheap', I am interested in good value for $ spent for what I'm required to pay.... and the WI DNR does not provide good value on multiple levels imo.   the individual clubs and land owners provide the vast majority of the value for my reg/t.p. as the clubs do the majority of the work and the land owners provide a place for us to ride.... DNR does little to nothing for the work of the volunteers or the land owners acceptance of what is essentially our legal trespassing on private land.   then there's the f'tards who can't stay on the actual trail, make noise where/when they shouldn't and think they purchased some sort of an entitlement decal to do wtf they want, but that's a whole nother topic.

but, yeah... that's a chunk of change for one sled.  :news:

NH and Maine don’t do trail passes you have to register for each state neither state recognizes the others. No idea how VT does it.

sooooooooo... where is the sled 'titled' (for lack of a better phrase) out of curiosity?

in other words... if I lived in ME and wanted to ride in VT is that two registrations?

tbh, I wish all the states here where riding is popular (WI/MI/MN) did shit similarly, but they don't

If you want to ride from ME to NY, you get to buy a seperate reg for the ME, NH, VT, NY

Reg in NY is $65 if you belong to a club, $135 if you don't.

Club is $30 a year iirc (being a landowner they give it to me for "free")

NH doesn’t title sleds. Maine doesn’t title snowmobiles either I believe. I don’t know how VT does it im sure evilbird can fill you in on them. I refuse to take the required safety course to ride VT 🤷‍♂️. NH,ME,VT use to do a reciprocal weekend where a reg in any state could get you in any of the three but they stopped that a few years back.

ouch... maybe the trail pass for each state here (unless I'm incorrect) isn't the end of the world.  have never purchased a MI t.p. even out of desperation or necessity but afaik that's all the would be required with a sled registered in WI

'title' was figurative... there's no title in WI either but there may as well be as we have to pay taxes on the sale of them new/used and fill out a similar form as the WI DMV  9_9

wait, you have to take a safety course to ride VT as an adult licensed to drive a truck with a trailer behind it to go riding?  holy fuck...

sounds like you guys are getting the shaft...

Trail permit was 52 dollars. Used it 3 times so far. Registration I forgot what it was. I usually don’t bother with it.
