were those 700 millionaires who made their money themselves???

Those are the ones you want to understand.  It doesn't take much to carry an idiot proof business forward, however we also need to give credit to those who really grow it.  There is an old saying, the first mil is the hardest.

well here is a fact that actually agrees with your notion, somewhat. i did awful in HS, absolutely awful. but i turned shit around, had to take some basic science courses, then go into college p/t, without a major, and do well before i got into the EE program. i did it and i live an exciting, rewarding life. now in another situation, we just had a co-op here at work, who was the valedictorian of her class, and she was very smart and will go far.

your study is bogus, sludgey.

Brains has nothing to do with how much of a go getter someone is.  I know a lot of people who could not do shit on their own but had great ideas and attracted the talent that was chicken shit to invest in themselves.

He sold out of the Taj Mahal down in Atlantic City years before it went under. 15 years ago I went to a vendor show in AC and I could not believe what a complete shit hole it was. The Indian casino's in Connecticut did in Atlantic City Trump was smart to get out when he did.

IQ alone is meaningless. There are a multitude of different traits that when combined can lead to success.

 you don't think a lot of other people could do the same with that, and all the other help he's had?

taking the money and placing it in managed investments sure-  managing it yourself in a risky business takes a lot of expertise and negotiating skill and yes using the tax and legal system to your advantage when appropriate.  Few developers haven't had projects fail
