In a new year's message, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman said troop deployments were being adjusted to prepare for "prolonged fighting". Daniel Hagari said some troops - especially reservists - would be withdrawn to allow them to regroup. When a civilian population votes in power those that attack and kill another nations civilians they should expect a retaliatory response to go after that military. When that military puts its resources deeply in civilian area's there is no way around some civilians not being killed. What is happening now or the people of Gaza handing over the Hamas militants to Israel? If Hamas has no weapons and Israel has its current military there would be peace.
