Us regulating the dirty industries out of the country doesn't help the world long term.....  If anything by moving these industries out they are alot dirtier for the globe.  Take mining for elements that are mined that go into windmills and solar panels....  Instead of mining those elements here in a sensible and enviromental conscience manner we let third countries mine those element and dump there pollution into the Oceans, and Air.  We then pay for it enviromentally.  EPA is just a country thing and not a global looking organization.....  What happens when we clean up our act it just shift the pollution to a third world country that could care less about the enviroment and pollute worse then we would making the same items...

EPA is just a smoke and mirror organization as all the pollution we eliminate comes back 10 fold at us from developing shit holes..

Washington (CNN)The Environmental Protection Agency dismissed half the scientists who serve on a science review board that plays a crucial role in the work the EPA does, CNN has learned Monday.

The EPA relies heavily on the scientific guidance of the group when it comes to air and water quality when making policy decisions. An EPA spokesman told CNN there are a total of 18 positions on this particular advisory board, and nine of those scientists were not renewed following the end of their three-year term.

There is a notable ideological shift at the agency under the Trump administration and EPA head Scott Pruitt. Some in the scientific community say the dismissal of such a large number of scientists from the EPA's Board of Scientific Counselors is further evidence of that.

The Paris climate accord was signed by many, China and India have acknowledged they major issues with greenhouse emissions and are taking action. Tillerson and Ivanka are recommending that Trump sticks with the agreement

if they thought globally and protected the global enviroment we would be better off as our technics for pollution control are better then say china or some third world country that is trying to break into the market.  So lets stiffle industry an allow them to go overseas where they can pollute their ass off and we still buy what they are producing.`  What I am saying if you want to sell a widget here that country of manufacture must meet or exceed our enviromental regs to be able to sell.  The enviromental protection agency should be protecting the enviroment.

Sea ice area is always smaller than sea ice extent, and it gives scientists the information needed to estimate the total volume of ice in the Arctic Ocean. Comiso found that multi-year ice area is shrinking even faster than multi-year ice extent, by -17.2 percent per decade.

 

Comiso compared the evolution of the extent and area of multi-year ice over time, and confirmed that its decline has accelerated during the last decade, in part because of the dramatic decreases of 2008 and 2012. He also detected a periodic nine-year cycle, where sea ice extent would first grow for a few years, and then shrink until the cycle started again. This cycle is reminiscent of one occurring on the opposite pole, known as the Antarctic Circumpolar Wave, which has been related to the El Niño-Southern Oscillation atmospheric pattern. If the nine-year Arctic cycle were to be confirmed, it might explain the slight recovery of the sea ice cover in the three years after it hit its historical minimum in 2008, Comiso said.
