Bontz
I wonder if those wildfires were caused by an ICE vehicle that was involved in an accident Edited May 30, 2023 by Bontz
toslow
The fires are burning but when the news says record breaking heat. They are straight out lying that have burned through thousands of acres have forced more than 16,000 Canadians to evacuate their homes and triggered a burn ban in Nova Scotia, as the region experiences record-breaking heat. Gold Member BOHICA Posted May 30, 2023 Gold Member Share Posted May 30, 2023 Always thought Nova Scotia as a more temperate and wetter climates where huge wildfires really couldn’t get going like they are in the Spring

For this time of the year +30*C could very well be a record breaking temp for areas of NS. Not a big deal either way. Hopefully @smokin george isn't affected by these fires. Fire rotation periods for the province as a whole were 1000 or 2500 years, using the mean annual burn or median annual burn, respectively, for all burns in the years 1915 to 1975. smokin george
There has been very little rain here in Nova Scotia for quite a while and the fire ban has been on for quite some time. The hottest weather was only last wknd sofar. We are 20 min to the one fire and 2 hours away from the other. Yesterday the smoke was pretty thick here and a firefighting helicopter was circling and fire crews were sitting by the beach nearby I guess in case something had started here. Later in the day 2 water bombers were headed towards the closer fire
