Frostynuts
Is that speed obtained over a set distance, or can you run til you top out ? Didn,t Hurricane run over 200 mph in North Bay a few years ago ?

Frostynuts
Thanks, Hurricanes new shop is a couple of miles from my place. I have know Dave a long time, he certainly is tenacious, and deserves all the credit he is getting. Are these runs mentioned in this thread 1/4 mile runs as well ? Doug
Last and final run was 198.67. This is the first event the sled has run in. Hypersport custom built V-4 engine.

Hurricane can't hold a candle to Hypersports. If Hypersport sleds ran at 1320' they would obliterate that 203 mph mark easily.

NSSR has rules and regulations and is the only way to get recognized as WORLD RECORD. Once again, that Hurricane run was 1320' NSSR sanctioned events run 1000'

Not in the same ball park. They are running 1000 not 1/4 mile. A sled going 198mph at a 1000 will make that look like a bitch in a 1/4
