In an old cross flow cement mixer I guess it doesn't matter much. The old cross flows carbon the top ring no matter what oil you run through them.

Mine runs perfect you mean the vro engine? Because mine is a vro engine don't know much about them yet but I know I like the one I have so far

She's a little dingy in these pics I had just gotten her home but I'm going camping on a big lake and I'm taking her with me and next Sunday I'm planning on buffing her out

Thats sweet man , looks like she can take some chop. Nice deep V in the front. and Chis Crafts are obviously well built boats :bc:

Thank you she didn't run good when I first got her and then I change the water fuel separator filter which was full of particles and crap and put 60 gallons of non-ethanol High test in her tank and she ran great. I only paid $1,500 bucks for boat and trailer.

Well getting rid of the VRO is a good plan. The old crossflows  have a weird habit of cokeing the top ring no matter what. Bad oil makes it worse but even on the good oil they stick. The good news is they run for awhile even after they are stuck they just lose power.
