If it is too wet to be out in the fields and  feel up to the drive, I may hit up Gilman.

When we lived in the hood, Gilman was only a 25 minute drive and it is a great little swap.  Would go every year.

Yep, it's been a few years since I've went but we have found treasures there. It's close to an hour drive for  me.

Anyone here know anything about Kawasaki Drifter F/A 340's?

Thinking about picking this one up.

Engine parts availability is my main concern.  Don't see a lot for them.

That doesn't seem like a half bad deal. I want to say the engine is the same as JD Spitfires that came after it.

Is that the same motor that Arctic Cat had when they ran Kawasaki?

Sounds like a 1 year sled.  If the case is good should be able to work around the rest.

I'm thinking you are right on Deere and/or others using the F/A engine parts.  Doing more digging before I commit to buying anything.

Still have way too much shit to get moving for this year alone, not sure I'm up for another project as of yet.

Still digging on these.  Looks like they aren't overly fast sleds, but damn do they look like they should be.  Guess it was their budget model back in the day.

Just kind of looking for a vintage ride and whatever comes my way that suits my fancy may be what ends up in the shop.

I thought the Drifter was a rebadged sno jet

I think they bought Sno Jet to get into the snowmobile game.

Also looking a little bit not that I need more projects.  1979 Centurion is currently on the look and see list.

I'm actually not really sure what I'm looking for.

One of those "I'll know it when I see it" things I guess.

Short list, maybe?
-Brut
-Kawasaki
-late model Deere
-Doo RV style
-Late 80's/early 90's Cat long track utility style sled
-96/97 Phazer?

Cheetah still doesn't want to pull fuel.

Might need to pull the carb again and clean out under the Welch plugs.  Ugg...

Side note, it has electric start, so I finally wised up and borrowed the battery from the riding mower.

All else fails, one way check valve.

The Enticer has spark!

Weak spark, IMO, but spark nonetheless.

Cheetah runs too, but not well.

Once it is running, she'll run, but doesn't want to stay running.  I'm sure I need to drill out Welch plugs and do the whole carb.

So I've been passively looking for a good deal on an Arctic Cat Quad Track groomer.

One popped up for sale near us, but I thought the price was too high.

Someone else didn't, since it has already sold.

Needless to say, I'm buying the next one that looks reasonably decent and is a good price...

I found this going thru a box of old photos. I'm pretty sure it's a 69 or 70 panther and probably a 50 year old picture. Me driving and brother riding bitch.

To put it in perspective I'm 63 now.

Cool pic! Looks to be a 70
