When egos get involved it gets in the way of good tech discussion.

My early years if HCS I had a really good clutching thread in the zr section, I think it went on for a couple years.  There was a lot of good knowledge in that forum.  If I look back on it I'd probably cringe a little but it was 15 years ago and I was just starting to really tune setups on my own then.

They probably needed an off the shelf helix and nsp had one in stock so they bought it. That equals we are the exclusive clutch supplier to judnik. And it also could have been bud judinik in West Virginia sticking a snowmobile engine in his double wide bought clutch parts

Yeah they seem to hang their hat on a race team buying one of their kits.  It's entirely possible that they aren't even using their kit, they maybe buy 5 kits and use one they like.  Or buy it just to compare to their own setup as a check it gauge.  I know my suspension tuner will sometimes buy valving from another company just to see where the others are at to compare.  Classic NSP though.

I would think any team worth a damn would know how to set some clutches up for a rider.  More than NSP.

Always found it hard to believe a race team is buying or receiving a clutch kit to use.  If your a good race team you have the expertise to clutch your own sled.

Now here's some money can you put my sticker on your sled.  Very possible.

Sold a clutch kit to judnick... Does ol ricky even have a 22 axys r ? considering calibration changes every time they go out I doubt that kit went into the sled especially knowing who is clutching the sleds in that trailer.

He also sold one to hentges years back and it was in kamms sled (the same sled I tore down and never saw any nsp nonsense on it)

Patriotic innovations is spot on , race teams don't give a shit about dyno numbers below is what they care about  - Data logged on each specific sled, everything is based off gps and oem can protocols with some added sensors.

Do you have to take the hoods off the Cat's in the trailer, or do they bring in a specialist?

I heard rick was coming to new york this weekend for that.

I'm gonna ask Juddys guys about NSP's magic.. bet they're as confused as Rick was when he tried to pull that hood off.

Battlestorm had some very good running sleds. Just like  Paaso Racing I remember some of the guys ran him off of HCS and he is running some killer Poo turbo sleds. C2C you would not have a chance with either of them.

great, because I don't actually care about drag racing, hill climbing or lake racing... I do enjoy a good catfight though.

A couple years ago I posted that guys should learn and understand clutching before they go out and buy a clutch kit.  They could do their own clutching to set their sleds up for their weight, riding style and conditions they ride in.  There is no one clutch kit that fits every owners needs.

Rick went ballistic.  Said his clutch kit ........bla bla bla.  I asked if he sells the same clutch kit to a lake racer and a trail rider.  It basically turned into the same shit storm they have going there now.

I remember when you said that. 100% right, and the shit storm that followed was epic.

I am sure he pulls seals on every bearing to check for grease. I am also not convinced polaris used greaseless bearings in the 20/21 sleds
