True although many of those will be above the median due to 2 incomes and/or one full time career person. The shocking thing though is the $34k median for blacks. I made more than that when I was 17. How is a whole family not able to exceed that. To hit their number you don't even have to double minimum wage. There must be an awful lot of them not working at all.
