"Open" modifieds are turning 106-108mph laps. For reference, Sammy Swindell turned a 140+mph lap 20 years ago. Also for reference, a Honda Prelude hornet car turned a lap 4mph faster then the first NASCAR pole set at Bristol. I'm going to bet you'll see some of the cars keeping it WFO pretty much all the way around the track. He's been very consistent at Homestead. His worst finish there in the last 5 years is 6th last year. Homestead is supposedly Bell's best track and he's been hot the last 2 weeks. Harvick is a steady top 5 finisher there.
