The last thing the govt should do is get involved in private companies. So a refinery got hacked? Big deal, let them deal with it like any other company would. shit happens, it's going to suck for those affected by it for a couple weeks then everything will be back to normal

You are correct, make gas prices as high as possible and push people into urban population centers.

Almost anything that uses computers can be hacked. Odd that this is the first time an oil pipeline has ever been taken advantage of though.

If anything that large scale ever stops using fossil fuels, with today’s tech, it would probably have the batteries charged using hydrogen fuel cell tech. Full EV machinery, on a large scale basis, will probably never happen in my lifetime or most anyone’s here.
