Not a big deal, really. Just a transition period in human development. No one was equipped to deal with all the new technology and a constant stream of information. Some groups are pissing their pants because in the past News messaging was tightly controlled. Now it’s the Wild West. I like it. It creates chaos. I don't think the Nazis were either far left or far right. I think they were a center, center-right, staunchly authoritarian regime. The group Hitler most opposed during his rise to power was Socialists/Communists/Anarchists. It's the same group he blamed for the Reichstag fire and it's the first people his regime purged. Nazism combined facets of Socialism along with Nativist/Nationalist sentiments. It was a populist movement to get people from both sides of the aisle. 

You could say that the ultimate end goal of Nazism was to absolve religion and spirituality, I would agree with that, but it never got to that point. Hitler's regime publicly embraced Christianity and religion as a means to their ends while privately having disgust for it. They played their hand in favor of the Protestant population of Germany as well as the anti-Semitism that was widespread in Europe. They had to play to Christianity, Germany was a Christian country, they couldn't publicly embrace an Atheist movement. 

I don't agree with the quoted definition of conservatism. I think that it's taking on an American version of conservatism vs. a European version of conservatism which is that in Europe the conservatives were most of the time on the side of monarchy(totalitarianism). Conservatism in the USA was quite different from that in Europe. The Tories in England are the conservatives, they supported the Crown. Conservatives in France supported the monarchy, liberals and socialists overthrew the French monarchy as a part of the Enlightenment. The Russian Tsar was overthrown by Bolsheviks(Socialists/Communists).

Conservatives need to be honest about Nazism and recognize that it preys upon some of their fears and beliefs. Just the same as liberals need to recognize that Socialism and Communism prey upon their fears and beliefs. The notion that all totalitarian governments are left wing isn't a fair assessment.
