Gold Member BOHICA Posted March 22, 2021 Gold Member Share Posted March 22, 2021 (edited) Keystone is not needed with this mega rail merger. Oil trains are the future under Biden admin. https://www.cnn.com/2021/03/21/investing/canadian-pacific-kansas-city-southern-merger/index.html Edited March 22, 2021 by BOHICA
Gold Member BOHICA Posted March 22, 2021 Author Gold Member Share Posted March 22, 2021 (edited) New map of the tar sands oil route.. Direct route to the refineries in Texas and the south that can refine the tar sands across the same companies tracks. Much better then a pipeline. Running rail cars full of oil over major water ways and through major metropolis makes so much more sense. Edmo
When did liberal causes ever make sense? Can anyone make any sense out of the border situation? The numbers were down big time. This is what happens when you make political decisions instead of good decisions (orange man bad). 2

racer254
And now the railways full of oil cars will take up the much needed space for corn and other grains. Great Idea. What a bunch of blind idiots.
01mxz800
this oil is already being shipped by rail, all this is going to do is keep it on one company's rail IF the STB approves the merger

CFM
Green new deal. Railroad vs pipeline. Just shows dems mire about pocket lining than a silver lining. Edited March 22, 2021 by CFM
Platinum Contributing Member Highmark Posted March 22, 2021 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted March 22, 2021 Buffett will get his Dem friends to try and stop it like he did in 2016. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-railways-m-a-union-pacific-idUSKCN0UR22S20160113
01mxz800
all one have to do is look at past mergers to see what could happen, take Penn Central, looked good on paper but turned into the largest bankruptcy in the US at the time, need to have some competition to keep rates in check and railroads competitive
F3600
I didn't seen BNI on that list, Buffett will certainly object to the Administration.
