I've also noticed, but have no idea if it takes up bandwidth/slows things down any, that it is much easier now to delete old photos/pictures/attachments. I recently looked at mine and I had 63 pgs of photos that went back to 2018. I've deleted about half of them so far but will continue to do the rest soon.
