Fireball 440 Posted December 2, 2016 Share Posted December 2, 2016 Let's break it down, shall we? 1069 jobs (less 300, if you can find where anybody said those jobs weren't being cut...I can't find it)...$7M in tax breaks over 10 years. $30/HR wage @ 2087 hours per year = $67M in wages @ 3.3% Indiana income tax = $2.2M in state tax revenue per year. Carrier is getting a $700k tax break per year. $700k < $2.2M = no corporate welfare at the expense of Indiana taxpayers. That doesn't even count the rest of the corporate tax that WILL be paid by Carrier, nor the federal income tax that will be paid by the company and the employees.
