This drug is no different than tons of other medications used for off label usage. Some doctors do it and others don’t. The outrage from trump supporters and trump himself over doctors not following the president’s medical direction is hysterical. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. Look at the data. It works. At least in some applications. "Prospective trials are needed" for further review, the researchers note, even as they concluded: "In this multi-hospital assessment, when controlling for COVID-19 risk factors, treatment with hydroxychloroquine alone and in combination with azithromycin was associated with reduction in COVID-19 associated mortality."
