Hospitals Tell Doctors They’ll Be Fired If They Speak Out About Lack of Gear

Recommended Posts

900 new cases and 26 new deaths in the last 24 hours in Illinois.  Plenty of bed space but only 41% of ICU space is available. Longer stay at home in effect.

There aren't many employers that allow employees to speak to the media with immunity.  I get it in this situation with workers not having the supplies they need to do their jobs safely.  I just wonder how widespread it actually is.  Would be nice if the hospitals, governments, and politicians would be honest with what is going on.

That’s true. The issue doctors face is malpractice lawsuits should they not have the proper equipment to do their job.

This is not true.  They face malpractice suits for making really poor decisions.  Not a lack of equipment or inventory.
