I agree.   There is one thing telling a poll you will vote for him its another thing completely going out and doing it.

Who knows. Poor kids are just a smart as white kids

Pushing the gay guy is a horrible play. Bussman and I both think they aren't trying to win and you have to consider that to be true. Dem party knows blacks won't vote for a gay guy. It's been a contested issue with black religious leaders on the gay marriage issue forever.

I think the dems are running scared of the far left of the party.   I said before this election for the democrats is becoming more about saving what the party was than defeating Trump.   I think if they can defeat Bernie and the Squad they will consider the election a win.

People like to say Trump has a huge ego but in my book Mayor Pete's is much larger considering his age and experience thinking he is the best person to become President.   By many accounts he isn't even a good mayor.   Thinking of towns in Iowa with about 100K people and one of those mayors running for President makes me laugh.  Honestly if he wasn't gay he wouldn't even be in the race.

Could be, the economy is doing pretty good still so it would be hard to win anyway. Why throw all of that money away for nothing.

I posted about Sanders and Mayor Pete not polling great with the AA community and get ridiculed.

Oh was it one of those Dem polls by the pollster that hates Sanders? Go figure. Follow Bernie on Twitter and Facebook and see who supports him. Lots of blacks.

Lots will. Republicans won't so it stupid to think all of middle America thinks like you do. Don't worry tho, he won't beat Trump. The Dems won't allow it.

Do they have any viable candidates that poll well with blacks? Even if they poll “ok” that doesn’t mean they’ll even leave home to vote

Dem party sends buses and “escorts” to round them all up to go and do their civic duty.

I think they are polling decent however there are particular issues that have kept those numbers somewhat down for both candidates.   Biden polls the best within the AA community.

The Obama effect for Biden is starting to wear out.  I see record numbers of blacks either voting R or not showing up at all.

Dude it was talked about over and over in 2016 as well.   Your head is in the sand if you don't see this.  The article I posted before was by the WSJ.   By no means radical journalism.

African-American voters back Medicare for All more than other groups, polls show, but the policy’s two chief proponents in the 2020 Democratic presidential race haven’t been able to translate that into widespread black support.

I agree.   Little of both.   Increase for Trump and less turning out than even in 2016.

Oh so the wall Street journal doesn't like Sanders either? Go figure. Don't worry bro, Sanders isn't beating Trump. But if there is one candidate who resonates with blacks more than any other it's Sanders.

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/01/23/joe-biden-black-voters-support-south-carolina-102365

Polling by The Washington Post and Ipsos released a week ago found Biden at 48 percent with black voters nationally, compared with Sanders at 20 percent and Warren at 9 percent. Buttigieg received only 2 percent support among black voters, less than the 4 percent who back former New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg. A recent Fox News poll of South Carolina had Biden with 43 percent among black voters in the state, trailed by billionaire Tom Steyer at 16 percent. (They also finished one-two overall among Democratic primary voters.)

People defending and supporting blow hard, sell out, socialist Sanders are even funnier than Sanders to me.

Still, the Dem party needs to let the people decide. It’s their own fault.  They’ve created their own monster....and now they are trying to control it.  Laughable.

Well when you look at the amount of debt middle Americans have then it starts to make Sanders look more favorable don't you think? As I said just because you think one way you shouldn't assume everyone does. I think there are lots of people would vote for Sanders as evidenced by these primaries. In reality he is getting the most votes and the Dems are throwing the delegates to others. So despite Republicans hating him and establishment democrats hating him, he is still getting more votes. How is that?

He is getting the most votes in the primaries, just like he did with Clinton.

You say that yet he won the Michigan primary in 2016.

Yet Sanders struggled in some of the most liberal states like California, Mass, Illinois and New York.
